It's great for small accurate work, not so much on a larger scale. saying "I'm 5 foot 11 inches tall" is more comprehensible than "180.34 centimeters tall".

What the other guy said, plus even with .34 cm its more accurate, which is important, even your millitary uses it...

Saying that in europe we say 180.34cm as height is the same as saying you guys say 5" 11.046'. We just say 5" 11' and 180 oneeighty

I can use the metric system, I understand it, but I've never found it to be advantageous over imperial. Probably because I was raised on imperial and thus know how to use it.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

Imagine how it it is when you work next to/with flowing molten metal (1400-1800ish degrees Celsius) while wearing 3 layers of protective clothing while the outside temperature is about 25 degrees C.

Guys, stop using that imperial system, let the brits and muricans use that shit system, use the metric :P

 

Britain uses both systems. The imperial system for large things such as TV's, people's height and the metric system for measuring on an accurate scale. There's a time and a place for both.

Back home in Arkansas it tends to get over 90*F during the day. The week before I left for vacation to Wisconsin we were under a heat advisory and the heat index would usually reach 110*F.

 

Up here by a lake, though, it hasn't gone over 70*F.

Haha it's really cold here compared to normal. Was really hot now 15C. All the heat must of moved away from me now Sunday it's back up to 37C
