It's so hot!

Here in South eastern VA summer temps usually range 91-99 degrees F (33-37 Degrees C)

With humidity over 85%.

I'm a winter person, I keep my house thermostat at 58F (14c) during the winter, but damned if the summer doesn't kick my arse.  It wouldn't be so bad, but the humidity really takes the energy out of you.

Went outside for a smoke. Still windy AF, bit cooler though.

Glorious 22C inside the office, I'm in shorts, shirt and sandals (no socks. never socks with sandals) drinking ice cold watah and it's somehow still hot...

so hot its farken cold here 7c right now

Oh just how much would I want to switch our current locations around with you; anywhere between 5°C and 20°C is comfortable for me personally. Above that, and it starts to get sweaty, but bellow that threshold is still copeable. Not much of a summer person.

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

It's not so bad today. A bit overcast, but the heat is still there. Has been 30-34C in the north east of England, though, we did have some epic storms yesterday.

What do they know of England, who only England know?

"The northern countries" (Scandinavia), me in the arse. 26 degrees feels like hell, going to be 30 degrees going further up north from where I live.

If the world would adapt to this! 9 of 12 months of the year it's a stable 20 degrees in my room, summer comes around hai 30's

there's just no way to naturally cool down in humid air unless it's been dehumidified or air conditioned because of the humidity potential required for fast evaporation

I know that all to well unfortuantley.  Some folks adapt easier to it being humid I am just not one of them even though I've lived here all my life.

If I lived in a more arid part of the country I would probably use an evaporative cooler during the summer for the house. Not really feasible in my current location.

If the temperature would stay the same all year around with little to no fluctuations, then almost anything between -50°C and 50°C would be copable for humans. The problem is the fluctuation in temperature. When there's not a lot of it during a year, you don't mind it. But our temperatures vary usually between -25°C and +25°C, that's a 50°C temperature variance during a year, which can be uncomfortable. On desert environments this can happen within a day: the temperature can go from +50°C to bellow 0°C between day and night. Either way, not fun.

It's not insanely hot here, but people just aren't used to it in the UK.

Problem for me is, my bedroom is in the loft and so all the heat rises up within the house, and the sun  beams directly down through the windows; it's like a fucking sauna up there and there's practically no airflow.

My room is also almost a sauna because of little to no airflow, and a GTX 590 (without overclocks, still hot and loud AF).

Though, ironically, going to an actual sauna for a while helps with the heat problem. It doesn't feel so hot anymore after sitting in a >60°C room for some minutes.

I know the feeling. It is so hot here that even in my room I could bake an egg with the sunlight coming through the curtain.

Drinks lots of water and wet the collar of your shirt, your brow and your neck and you will feel 10x cooler! :)

Guys, stop using that imperial system, let the brits and muricans use that shit system, use the metric :P

F**k the metric system.

That is all.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs

The metric system is much more accurate... There is no reason not to use it.... Unlike the Imperial

It's great for small accurate work, not so much on a larger scale. saying "I'm 5 foot 11 inches tall" is more comprehensible than "180.34 centimeters tall".

We don't say 180.34 we just say 180cm when we talk about people's height since it's irrelevant.
