what are the best free to play games you know?

I enjoyed Planetside 2 when I played that. DOTA 2 / League of Legends / SMITE / Heroes of The Swarm if you're into MOBAs.  Team Fortress 2 is also free-to-play, and to get "premium" it can be as cheap as $0.50. (You just need to make a purchase in their in-game store.)

I found a really nifty Shogi flash game.

 

Plays to the experience level of the player, makes it easy to learn the game.

I love Planetside 2, but the learning curve is harsh. You get thrown directly at the players with thousands of in game hours on your first second you completed the tutorial, but they are going to add a new zone for new players to learn the game, but try it and be patient. You will be better at it
