Can't prefer one over the other, because SSD's are more expensive and HDD"s are cheaper.

I would prefer SSD's if they were the same price.

But now it is like bread and butter, they belong together <3

Depends.

For the cost? HDD's.

Speed? SSD's.

Noise output? SSD's.

SSD... Though HDD for mass storage... Until high capacity SSDs are cheap enough to actually be worth it.

Good luck having only ine game at a time installed with you 60gb SSD. Both equally for me. OS, program and game with a lot of loading screen on 250gb SSD. Media and other game on a 1tb HDD. Thats the setup I have and I am content with the capacity.

Of course at same price/capacity it would be SSD only

Why does no one get that it means size > price

Fast 128GB or 2TB of decent speed?

No? With SSDs you can have both speed and storage. It just costs more. It's more like

size+speed=<price

Wishing leads to ambition and ambition leads to motivation and motivation leads to me building an illegal rocket ship in my backyard.

I know that harddrives still have a place in this day and age. Because affordable SSD's with high capacity have yet to become a thing. But with that said.

I remember years ago when I bought a MASSIVE (at the time) 500GB harddrive for my computer, which cost me $150. And currently, SSD's are starting to fall down to that price to capacity range.

You can get some 1TB SSD's for as low as $350. So I imagine that in two years SSD's will start to become truly affordable. I can't wait to move over all of my stuff to non-spinning media.

Well I am running internal SSDs for a total of 3TB of storage.  Yes it is expensive but I have no regrets.

Tell my tale to those who ask. Tell it truly; the ill deeds along with the good, and let me be judged accordingly.

SSDs for operating system and large programs like photoshop or after effects, HDDs for mass storage.
