What did you do today? Tech related only

Eniqmatic

I'm a member of a few other (non tech) forums and often see these threads that are hundreds of pages long. Thought I'd try it here, there were a few other forums threads from over a year ago so decided to start a new one.

Rules:

Must be tech/computer related (at least vaguely)

Keep general chit chat to a minimum

Pictures encouraged :D

I'll start, I'm checking through and clearing out all these drives I have around:

I played Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing just a minute ago :)

Pretty fun game, would recommend it if you like Mario Kart like racing games and can get this for cheap.

It doesn't have to be something you just bought :)

Ohh, I read it as ´What did you buy today´. Complete misunderstanding from my part.

Well, I still bought some Sunn o))) albums. That is pretty much the most productive thing I did today.

I have been battling suspected psu issues. My RM1000 sometimes just cant be bothered to power up. This morning I had to remove it from my pc case, open it up, look at it, close it up again, plug in 24 pin and it fired up. Then shut it down replaced psu in the case and nothing. Disconnected all but 24 pin and nothing. Removed from the case again, with everything plugged in and it's working fine.

Maybe it just doesn't like my case. :(

e2a just did a restart, no problem. Then I shutdown and it would restart until I had undone the 4 screws which hold the cover on the psu. Nothing else, just undone the screws.

I soldered each corresponding cable together added some electrical tape covering the exposed metal then I "sleeved" the cable using some hockey tape this picture shows "seam" without removing the tape.

That looks quite good, considering what you've done. Good job!

Cleaned my computers. They were god awfully dusty.

Also fixed one of my old Bose stereos. My cat knocked it down and broke it apart. Luckily it was an easy fix!

Finally got around to installing that Cat 6 from my router to my PC, it was a cunt and a half. If it wasn't for my colleague it would still be in my ceiling.
