Hey guys. I'm probably going to get a 328i in a few years. I was thinking to get black wheels, a carbon fiber wrap, and tinted windows. I'll add in a custom exhaust after a little while. How much of a fuckhead would I look like if I do this? My sister has tinted windows and black wheels on her 335i. Is the carbon fiber over the top? Thanks.

BMWs are considered douchey for the crowd they draw, not the cars themselves. Shame, good cars. That said, the wrap may be over the top. For a car like that especially . Why fake it? ....Maybe a matte black paintjob?

Basically, my dad says 10k on the car for high school-college. Don't screw up and you get a 30k for grad school and then you're on your own. But, he has a BMW i8, Ferrari 360 Spider, Maserati Ghibli Q4 S, and a Ranger Rover Sport 2013 (special edition one of 400). That should put things into perspective. I am going to pay for all of these upgrades and I plan to keep this car for a while (past grad maybe?). My dad works most of the time and is usually home only on the weekends. My mom is a writer and spends most of her time on the computer (like me...). The PC was bought by him, but it was a pre-built (didn't know anything about PC's last year). I turned around and sold it to build the current PC later on and got the GTX 780 for free (long story).

Yeah, my sister's '05 325i had recalls every so often and always did need thing to be fixed. My dad's old M6 really never needed maintenance at all (it only had 10k miles in 8 years), but his Maserati literally has recalls every month and issues every two weeks. That is hands down the highest maintenance required for a car from what I know.

For 10K, you can get much better cars then a 328i. If you won't be paying for gas, Nissan Maxima. If you are, Toyota Camry Hybrid. And these aren't just grandpa cars, as long as you don't want them to be.

But at the end of the day, no matter how you do your Maxima or Camry, it still won't scream fuckhead or douchebag anywhere near as much as a BMW (especially a 3-series) will. And as stated above, you'd get a handful more luxury with the Maxima, or save a metric button of gas with the Camry.
