Is this power supply going to handle this next upgrade?

Hey guys

So I'm going to get an XFX Double D R9 280X (said R9 280 on Amazon but the box said R9 280X) and I have a Corsair CX500 in my system currently.

Here's my PC currently without the "R9 280": http://pcpartpicker.com/p/7yqvcf

My current system wattage is ~190 watts and the R9 280 will add 200 or a little more watts, making it ~390 watts.

I am not doing any overclocking on this card. Also, my power supply has an 80+ bronze certification and has two 6/8 pin connectors.

So would it be safe to stick with the CX500?

And it should still be fine even if any of my games uses a lot of resources and it eats up a little more power?

The certification on the PSU says efficiency up to around 440W.

A 6700k will bottleneck the 280 I would think but yes, you're more than OK.

In games you will use around 300W.. if you turn your benchmarks for your CPU and GPU at once you will get the worst case scenario and should get to around 400W with occasional spikes to 450W.

Not even. At the wall he'll probably hit about 350W with a 280.
