I really enjoy these types of videos! You should do more like this. Scrap yard wars had a similar format and that's why I think people liked it so much

we trust only a few shops at sim lim...

and if it can wait, online is better for most stuff unless you need warranty coverage

I wonder how well powerline networked access points would have worked in that house?

 

Cement construction is always difficult to deal with if you want good speeds, especially for streaming HD video, but if you are willing to have like 4 AP's then you can have good coverage for a cement house of around 3000 square feet.

Loved this video, the informal style really brought out linus' quirks and made for some great fun. Also that type of project is, i would imagine rather relatable to many people.

Huh, and here I thought I was the only one with family in Asia.  JK. 

Of course I prefer speaking the native tongue, makes for easier conversation.  

 

When it comes down to it I prefer direct Ethernet connections,  but in this case a repeater isn't so bad if you get a good one that is and because of the cement I'd have a repeater for every floor.  

 

Another option is to have Ethernet access points on each floor and have another have 1 router at the top and another at the bottom as a repeater. 

For "normal" homes 1 router is enough, but I place Ethernet access points everywhere as I like my devices plugged in directly.

On the WiFi: I know there are only 3 non-overlapping channels: 1, 6 and 11

 

But what if they are all heavily used? Is it better to pick something like channel 8 or 9 in this case?
