Should I buy this PC or this?

Option no. 1:

They claim it is THE TOP gaming PC on the market, seems good.

Using Titan X.

 

Cheaper as well.

 

 

I have 3k to spend that I've been saving up for about 8 months to order a gaming rig ever since my friend told me about things like these.

 

And, by "build" a PC do you mean actually build a PC? Don't try to recommend that, I have no experience WHATSOEVER within PC hardware (though I find it interesting) and am definitely not certified to build one, as I was told I have to be.

 

 

So which do you think I should get? And if you have another option/recommendation, what is it?

and you only need a laptop if you are constantly on the move and need the portablity

Dude don't buy Alienware.  I would recommend an iBuyPower PC or a company like these: 

Asus ROG, Razer, etc.

Do you have experience playing with legos?

I have the Razer Blade and love it. If you want a laptop, go with the blade. If you want a PC, build one.

Every person on this forum has built their first PC with no experience. I built mine about a year ago and it booted first try. It may seem like a big challenge but is very simple and if done right can take no time at all. There are many tutorials online, LTT has some, that are very helpful and are made for people with no experience. If you need help picking parts there are many great people on this forum that know exactly what you want. But trust me building your own will save you a ton of money you could put to raw performance instead.

3K to spend on a PC by building yourself will be more rewarding than buying a laptop and that Dell triangle chassis

Or you could pay $1000 for someone to do all that for you, what's your choice?

You can do something where you pick the parts out and a Microcenter will build it for you or you can pick parts and for a $50 fee I believe they will build it for you with OS and it tested to make sure it works.

We all started somewhere. Watch Linus' build guides, some tech quickie, start looking at parts. Consult the forum, maybe check out some other forums, to get multiple opinions.

Or you could pay $1000 for someone to do all that for you, what's your choice?

 

And for the love of god do not buy that Razer garbage. Razer is almost worse than Apple.

This is like a Microsoft vs Apple thing now. Apple has the best phones overall and no one can argue with that. You guys just don't like Razer and Apple. Simple as that.

Don't get either, build a PC instead.

 

The area-51 is by far the best from being the "best gaming pc on the market", and is quite overpriced.

The razer blade isn't going to be even close to the power that a desktop can offer for a much lower price.

The blade is good if you want a laptop, but there are plenty of alternatives. Look at some MSI laptops if you want portability and performance for a reasonable price
