Systems like this are very common, I remember seeing a PC with a 4100 and a GT 610 being advertised as a gaming PC for $600 on Amazon. It's best to just ignore it and move on because no amount of complaining to Amazon will get it pulled.

Reading the first two reviews, and seeing that the first person passed the specs on to an IT "chap," who then said it was a steal. He needs to be slapped, banhammered, and fired.

 

It is a DECENT build, but it is by no means a steal..

This PC is excellent value for money and I am not a customer or associated with the sellers so I have no reason to say this. I have been building PC's for the last 12 years so I know what I am talking about. Sometimes, you can have all of the high-end components and still not get an equal performance to a lesser spec PC. It's all about the right balance and finding the right spec for your personal needs. This package has been well thought out and it would suit most gamers, plus, the added hardware is a big plus. The only complaint I would have is using Windows 8 which I hate, even on my touchscreen tablet.

Thank goodness this customer didn't seek advice from you and actual went to somebody who KNOWS what they are talking about. If I was looking for a commercial build myself, I would consider buying this PC but I've just spent £1200 building my own which should last for at least the next 7 years.

 

I know it's the Internet and everything but this is deliberately exploiting the ignorant.

 

I'm just glad that there are companies like PCSpecialist and NCIX building PCs for people who know they don't know anything, so they don't have to rely on these sharks and companies like Alienware.

These ebay and amazon rippoffs exist for the same reason slimy used car salesmen exist, they are selling overpriced/over hyped product to unsuspecting people.

 

It is basically legal con artistry.  A practice that gets my anger up all the time.  yet they have not lied and as such nothing can be done about it.
