I called them up and they said they would give you a new card if it was DOA! They were only used in display modles and are perfectly fine!

used 7000 series cards with zero warranty, thats extremely sketchy, and this is from someone who bought 2 of them off ebay.

please explain to me how someone can tell the difference between a card thats almost brand new, and about to die.

Id stay clear and just buy one off ebay. but thats just me. this is actually over the going rate for used 7970s, you can get them for right around 100, but if you want it from a actual store, here ya go

What part of USED IN MODEL BUILDS do you not understand? The are old of course, but then can't possible be about to die. They were only used for model builds!

I would rather buy an old unused gpu rather than an old used gpu!

Even Linus himself has openly used this website for his personal reasons, I don't think they would hurt anyone.

Being pretty harsh, and going against your own words mate. Id buy a old unused card also, but thats not the case.

Im just saying that its a lot of money for a card with zero warranty. thats all. I know the 7970s I got, one was more then likely mined on, the other was a new refurb. both had a 60 day return policy. The last thing I want is to pay 140 then arrive with a dead card.

hell. lets say your right, it may be a card that never went over 1% usage all its life. but there is a risk of it dieing during shipping. so thats why id personally go for one with some form of warranty. But hey thats just me, take it anyway you want. sure its a decent deal, but not one to warrant no warranty

I don't know if you can assume they would not honor your card if it arrived DOA. It is a pretty respectably company. If you have any questions you can call their phone number.

your assuming a warranty when it clearly states there is none.

that sounds kinda like a funny phone call. "hey, I know it says theres no warranty, but can i send back my card?"

yeah, they may honor it, but with how they word it they do not have to.

...ill be sure to call? I made it clear that it was a poor decision to buy from them. but like I said, thats my own personal opinion.

A DOA policy and a warranty policy are separate things.

well in that case I may very well be wrong. Never knew they where separate.I assumed warranty covered everything when it came to returns

I called them and they said they pack them with zero change of damage, but if something did happen, they would give you another one. They also said they were all from display models and that there was a few that weren't working that will not be sold.

thats sweet, but I Feel like your going way to hard to prove something.

doa protection, sweet. still cards that where used, and they have mining rigs on their main page. and in that case, Wonder why a few are not working? if they where all gently used.

but anyway, if you buy this, wish you the best of luck

XFX 7xxx cards have literally one of the worst aftermarket coolers i've ever seen, it makes the reference AMD 290/x cooler look half acceptable

my asus dcUII triple slot cooler was a beast, ran at 1275mhz, and my sapphire card also ran at 1275mhz. worked out to about a 30% overclock, which is crazy.

at stock 900mhz, dead silent under load(undervolted). Guess we looked at different cards, but thats just my personal experience, havent used any other cards from the line up though

After several thermal paste replacements and (literally) tearing the shroud off, dusting the fans, and screwing them in really tight, it's quieter now, but still gets close to 80C (typical maxes are about 76C).
