To be fair, you don't really hear a lot about trans men and transmascs compared to trans women and transfemmes.

I know multiple trans girls but only a couple trans men, just to put things into perspective.

Right, good point!  Trans porn can be both straight and lesbian. My mind just slipped for a second.

Well, trans porn is straight porn because trans women are women, just born a little different. I think the best way to refer to it would be cis gender porn vs trans porn. Sorry, I don't mean to nitpick and I'm the last one to be politically correct but I think it's important to get terms right when talking about this kind of stuff.

Yes yes and yes, they still call it trans porn on the hub and every other video distribution platform. You are correct, but I feel like it is often just best to use the the most popular language.

3 hours ago, Kawaii Koneko said:

Eh, it depends on the person. Femboys are different than trans women with smaller breasts and penis. Obviously, what they self identify as being the biggest difference. I'd be a little careful tossing terms around here because you don't want to accidentally label a trans woman femboy or vice versa. Either way would be insulting. There is a lot of mislabeling in porn so that can cause confusion, I get that. Just be a little careful.

I never toss around terms. If I can't determine what they self-identify as before I meet them, I will always ask them for their pronouns and what they self-identify as. I never ever want to insult a trans person.

Yep, see my other parts of this response

3 hours ago, Kawaii Koneko said:

And that is where things can get difficult because every trans woman is different. Some transwomen are dysphoric about that part of them to the point of wanting it totally ignored, others are accepting of it, and others embrace it. My gf literally told me that she likes her penis and wants to keep it. She only told me this though after she asked me if I would stay with her if she got SRS and I told her course I would, I love her for who she is. Then she basically said "Good but I plan to keep it anyway". I think she just wanted to know I wasn't only into her for that reason and of course, that isn't the only reason I like her. I love her as a person but sexual compatibility is important and it seems we have that.

Not trying to sound defensive, but how I react to my GF's choice for SRS is my problem, but thanks for the input.

3 hours ago, Kawaii Koneko said:

It is something to tread lightly on. It's something I tried not to bring up with anyone early on. The first trans girl, the topic didn't even come up until before I met her, the second, well, she was very upfront about where she stood early on (oh yeah, there was a second I didn't mention but that was because I just wasn't feeling things with her), and then there is my gf who did ask me right away what my preference was but only later revealed her personal position on everything.. Turns out we both are a great match for each other because of our preferences and our own bodies.

I actually tried to tell myself it was fetish for awhile until I realized it was a genuine feeling. It's just what I'm into. It's my orientation. It's best to just accept it. But if you do, be ready to give that girl the life she deserves. The whole keep it a secret thing is a big downer. Some girls accept it but they deserve better.

Abso-fucking-lutely

Ok, my understanding of trans men is that there are pretty much two basic kinds of trans men, obv there are plenty more but my understanding is only a little better than yours: Those that wish for T, facial hair, body fat repositioning, and top and bottom surgery. Then there are the trans men who mostly just want T and top surgery, along with the natural fat repositioning that T does. This makes them appear a lot more androgynous. A portion of these trans men from the latter group self-identify as femboys, but AFAB.

Hey, sorry, I didn't mean for it to sound in any way like I was telling you how to react. Maybe my wording was poor. I was just trying to say that every trans woman is different and finding one who you (not you as in you but you as in a general sense for anyone) can connect with sexually requires tact and understanding. Sorry, if I was sounding like I was lecturing, it wasn't my intent at all!

Yeah, I know nothing of this since I'm not attracted to men at all and never did any research, unlike with me and trans women. My gf probably knows more since she likes trans men in addition to cis men.

Disappointing.

Disassembling the controller itself is easy.  Getting the analog stick out to lube it, well...

There is a guide on ifixit's website about this by the way.  It should help.

I had to open both of my Xbox One controllers because of issues with the D-pad.  Got one pretty perfect in the end, the second good enough.  But always afraid it might start acting up.
Not buying a Series X controller if the One controllers can still work and be serviced.  Maybe later.

I actually think Assembly is really cool! Low level stuff like that, that is specially structured around architecture machine code, seems powerful if you know how to work with it. But uh..... I am considering DevOps, which - from what I've heard - is one bad cocaine binge away from (temporary) full blown programmer ahahha

Can't speak for DevOps, I did full-time Fetish Photography, until covid kinda put paid to that, so I went back to what I know, Systems Admin for the gov't, which is a special brand of insanity (or masochism) all its own.

In the gov't, your performance isn't linked to your pay, nor the continued existence of the Department, so all the really incompetent people gravitate to gov't work, and just hang around (it's really really really hard to get fired) until retirement age.

Some people are just going to react differently.

Some are going to carry on as normal, some might feel it's so different to everyone else they know or think they know.

More so if they viewed you in a different way, that there can be a lot more of a "reaction" out of it?

Can you give me some explanation? As a homosexual person, I've never fully understood the obsession of some straight young women towards the homosexuality. I never understood such of a phenomenon, but I experience it more often. Lots of female college students I know, like to read yaoi fanfiction, to discuss the homosexual celebrities, and to listen the music of homosexual musicians, sometimes exclusively. And on top of that, their image of a gay person is kinda outlandish and weird - for them, being gay for them is to look like you are a Hollywood superstar, and you must only like things they like, plus having a specific political agenda on your mind. And the scariest thing in all of that is when you came out to them. They either start to treat you like a person that is better than the others in some way, and becoming an obsessive fans of yours (Is "positive homophoba" a thing? Or "homophilia" is a better word to use?) or they do not believe you because your personality does not come up with their magical imagery of a homosexual (One of the girls I know do not believe that I am gay just because I am also fat, lazy, like to build PCs, enjoy talking about car repairs with my friends, and also because I am right-winged). I even started pretending being straight when I am nearby such girls. Where do they get such of a imaginary gay 'persona', why do they form the cult around this depiction, and why they, in a way, dislike straight people, if they are straight themselves? I do not get it at all... And is this just a gay thing, or the trans people are also may experience such weird and unnerving relation towards them?

I'm a bisexual male from the US, but mostly homosexual, and just like lots of guys have "their waifu" or fictional charectar they want IRL, many women do the same, except if they aren't weebs they tend to fantasize real life male celebrities. Of course being celebrities, they have all the glamor and beauty in the world at their fingertips and create the expectation of a holllywood superstar as being the perfect person. But thye get jaded and start expecting or working towards getting males that look like that.

They tend to discuss homosexual celebrities because among their group of like minded people, that celebrity is the one they want to talk to the most. (<- Can't confirm this last part but it makes sense. I'm not out of the closet yet to people in public, only private, so I haven't gotten the attention of any girls yet, I just secretly love guys and only those in my personal circle know) This is because they can't as easily relate to a person who is attracted to women if they are as straight as an arrow. But when they come across a gay man, they feel like this is the one male they will meet in a long time that they can relate to the most, and they really want them in their inner circle. (On a scale of relating to other men, you are on top).

They are fascinated with you (just as they are fascinated with gay celebrities) and they want to give you the special treatment as if trying to rush the experiences of a longtime BFF into a matter of weeks. Girls have their girlfriends, or lifelong female friends that they go shopping with as an adult, and they relate to alot. But some of them also want a male in their group, but it is so hard to find a straight male to relate to the topics they usually discuss, and there are plenty of gay men who would fit in. You don't, but you shouldn't feel bad about this because you are just acting who you are. You don't share their interests and it would have been really awkward with them.

A thought just came to my head: They possibly are fascinated with you because they want to fantasize you, they can more easily relate to gay men than straight men, and they know you won't be the creep who wants to sexualize them.

Everything I have said above is a educated guess really, everything below I can confirm.

Reading Yaoi fanfiction is incredibly common among female weebs and more generic gay fanfics is not as common, but not unheard of in women that enjoy reading and writing, but are not weebs. Just look at the wikipedia page for Yaoi to get a better idea.

I mean Yuri comics and fanfics are also common among male weebs, so it is just the opposite. Although Yuri fanfics are less common afaik because male weebs have plenty of straight and yuri hentai to watch rather than spending their brain power on reading.

Homophilia is a very outdated term for homosexuality. Really what you were describing is segregation where they treat men like you above everyone else.

Fuck you scalpers, fuck you scammers, fuck all of you jerks that charge way too much to tech-illiterate people.

Hopefully, chocolate is a problem since these go to the middle east and it's pretty hot out there.  The ship is air conditioned by the conditions packages go through, including warehouses and sitting on a dock for hours is not so great.  I ziplock bag any of the chocolate so that, worst case, it doesn't ruin anything else.  But from now on I'm sending only candy coated chocolate like M&Ms or Reese Pieces.  While the chocolate will soften, the shell should hold out a lot longer, so if you get it back to 'room temperature' without squishing it so they all blurt out, should be okay?  I mostly send other snacks for that reason.

She didn't get this box today but she got the one I sent earlier.  These two boxes above she won't see until Mid June I'd guess.  The ones he got today was mailed out April 19th.  No Next Day Prime Delivery to the Royal Canadian Navy. 🙂

I'm just doing what I can cause this is a sail during a pandemic.  No one on or off the ship beyond a few meters of the jetty, no contact with anyone on land, no visiting home, no visiting the port cities, just 7 months with 260 people in a steel coffin.  They were all locked in hotel rooms for two weeks before boarding the ship.  There's a repair and maintained period typically in the middle of a deployment where families could possibly fly out to visit their members or members could fly home for a week or so.  Not with COVID.  So it's rough. Just sending what I can to help until Sept.

At the very least there's a possibility the crew starts vaccinations this week but that likely won't change much.

Won't work. I carried a zipper bag full of M&Ms for about 4 hours in 103 F Vegas as I walked along the Strip and by the time I got back to my hotel room and pulled them out all the M&Ms were stuck and molded together into a giant gooey sack of chocolate. This may have been because being in a backpack they could have been crushed, and once they are crushed, they chocolate inside sticks to anything, so it won't work for you. So unless you send each ziplock bag in styrofoam packing and it stays in styrofoam packing (like the kind you get with surrounding flatscreen monitors, but obv smaller) the entire time until it is eaten, then it won't be good for your SO.

However I did stick the hot bag inside a hotel provided ice bucket (originally for alcohol) for some time, and when I pulled it out the chocolate no longer stuck to the sides of the bag and you could pull out a giant PC of m&m's crushed into a odd shape. It tasted exactly how you would imagine a M&M candy bar to taste like, except you can't eat it like a candy bar. Because it had a much more 3D shape (determined by the corners and seams of the bag, which had been mangled with in order to fit inside the ice bucket) then the rectangular prism of candy bars, so it was really hard to eat, but it did taste good. But in the end, not worth it, normal M&Ms would have been better.

Fuck you scalpers, fuck you scammers, fuck all of you jerks that charge way too much to tech-illiterate people.

That is actually the plan!  Cause you're right, if you squish or put pressure on the candy, it'll still ooze out.  I already included additional 'armored cardboard partitions' for some things such as shampoo I sent, to try and ensure they arrive unpunctured.  So any hard shelled candy would be in a sub partition I'd build in the box to keep anything else from pressing against it.

I have become quite crafty at building additional cardboard walls inside cardboard boxes through this. 😄

This reminds me…

GF is deployed, pandemic cancelled Pride again this year.

Gonna spend a lot of time in my apartment in my pajamas most likely.  Just like every month!

Has it? I've been seeing a lotta "kink at pride" discourse over on Twitter.

To the point where I finally muted it, because there are so many other things that we as a community could focus on about pride instead.
