Try using the respective free versions of each then use the one that suits you.

 

If you're lazy just listen to the previous posts.

Where can I download 2016 edition? I'm still on 2013 edition, last time I tried to download the later version, I got a virus

I just manually scan with malwarebytes every now and again

 

I dont even like the free ones, although avast and avg free are ok if you want one - dont bother paying for one, and MSE is pants

Malwarebytes is honestly the best one when it comes to detecting and avoiding new treaths. They also have an anti-exploit kit, which is pretty neat if you're still on an older version of Internet Explorer.

Sorry if my post offended your entire family, but I get kind of defensive when I'm high...

I use MSE and very very rearily scan with malwarebytes, as my seemingly outdated version of common sense (2015 still) is doing a fine job.

I have tried multiple AV suites and none of them ever detected anything, probably due to the other stuff I use:

 

System-wide:

Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit

HostsMan + MoaAB list

KeyScrambler

Sandboxie

 

Chrome extensions:

AdBlock

Disconnect

Magic Actions for Youtube

 

Also everything I download goes through VirusTotal scan.

 

Tested with a crash course through ad-infested and risky sites. Nothing made it through.

Malwarebytes Premium. I don't run anything but it (disable Windows Defender) as I'm not susceptible to malware tho I run it anyways.

 

I also run Disconnect for Chrome simply because it cuts out unneeded bandwidth and makes pages (even here on LTT) load much faster.
