I've started a new video series on YouTube called Grandma Tech Tips, and they're basically simple tutorials on how to do everyday things that people who aren't good with computers to follow. Now, I need some ideas though. I already have one up on how to rename files, and I have one in the works on how to cut/copy/paste files. If you guys could help out, then I would love that.

 

NOTE: Please stick to things on Windows only, and no "how to download x browser" things. Thanks. :)

- How to print something
- How to save something online (EG: Like a webpage or a PDF opened in Chrome without downloading it to your system)
- How to install programs
- How to avoid scam emails/annoying adverts
- How to perform general maintenance if your system starts running slowly
- How to install the latest drivers for your hardware
That's all I can think of at the moment

its likely that this is the segment of people who are still running win XP so maybe something to help them with that. 

 

its also likely that a primary driver for them to connect to the internet is to keep connected with their siblings. so a how 2 social media be it skype or facebook or google hangouts.

 

also some facebook etiquitte as well. there are a few people on my feed that hit like and share on any stupid "my grandson is so.... like and share" "back in my day.... like and share" 

and a quick How 2 Snopes. from my personal interactions its this segment that buys into or gets fooled by viral fraud links.

A couple of things. Video should have voice over and a much higher clearer resolution image since the elderly aren't so good at seeing small things :S
