So it's like spotify but for games!?

Utomik makes playing games as easy as listening to music on Spotify. Gone are the days of long downloads, installations and never-ending patches. Unlike existing streaming services, Utomik runs the real game on your PC. A very small part is downloaded to launch you into the game, while the remaining data downloads during play.

As it seems you would still need a large hhd is you play a lot of games as it downloads the whole game while you play.

What you won't get are the latest games but you can buy them separately and play them through their service

Utomik will feature games in all popular genres, both new and classic titles. All classic games are playable within the monthly subscription, with new releases available for purchase as Premium games. Currently 80 games are under contract with many more in the pipeline for the commercial launch.

You can sign up for the closed beta on their website http://www.utomik.com.

What do you guys think? Would use this service? I still think steam sales make this a bit irrelevant but we'll see.

If it turns out to be a legitimate source of great games, at a reasonable price and with reasonable customer service, then this might actually sever my tether (heehee) from steam

this sounds really cool, if it becomes a full program, ie. out of closed beta, I would defiantly become a subscriber, haven knows that my wallet would be happier with $10 a month rather than a full hit during the Steam sales.
