Looking back what I posted and thinking about what I've said and to who I think I've wronged a few people:

My goal is to be the most gentleman person I can be. Never resorting to saltiness or losing my patience. Looking back I know that I have broken this "oath" of sorts. I know you'll say that it's ok and that it happens or that it isn't a big deal but that's not who I want to be.

 

Again, I apologise to those I have wronged

Meh, it's not a matter of him being genuine or not. Rather that this is attention whore-like babble that most people would rather not see. Myself included. Apologies should be done directly to the individual it's meant to be directed to, not publicly announced like we have some frigging stage-show for this shite.

Yes you can reread but in the few times you reread a post your mood/attitude does not change, it changes over a much longer period of time.

The moment you post it you might think it's the appropriate response but later on you yhink back realizing that it was not a good response at all.

It's the same with having an oral conversation: you say something and later realize that what you said was wrong

imo it's not the same as an oral conversation, you can't really think about it for 5 min and then respond when talking to a person, you're more genuine and influenced by your feelings at that moment

on the forums, i can't see any reason why you should reply something offensive that you'll regret (unless intentional, but then you shouldn't apologise), just re-read it several times and see if it's offensive or not and don't respond when pissed off

but maybe that's just my way of forum culture

While i do agree, sometimes it can take more than a couple of minutes

to get rid of that irrational bias induced by emotions. Sometimes you can

post something you have looked at several times, then get back to it the

next day and wonder what the hell you were on about. Your mindset 

usually wouldn't change in a couple of minutes.

 

I should clarify this is assuming a hypothetical scenario where you are 

in the middle of a conversation, exchange of several comments. Not

the first initial one, because then you should kinda spot it, that is  unless

it stems from a misunderstanding.
