GTX 970 mayhem

BaconPie

So I'm curious, would you return your card, and if you would what you'd get to replace it.Or maybe you will wait, and see where the things are heading?

Leave a vote and explain your statement! :3 Cheers!

Should add a "Yes" to the poll instead of just No and Wait.

Yes I would return it and wait for the 300 series.

Wait for what? Nvidia allready went out and said this is how its supposed to work - from the first place.

Keep the card and throw Nvidia into the bin.

No because the performance is still the same as it's always been, and it only runs into issues at 4k, where the card doesn't really belong anyway.

If I have one, no I wouldn't return it.

If I don't have one and need a GPU ASAP, I'd get the MSi 290X Lightning.

If I don't have one and aren't in a hurry, I'd wait for the 300 series or a good deal for a GTX 980.

Definiteley wait for what nvidia's official solution is and then get rid of the cards, one or the other way.

who cares...

If I had one I'd probably keep it. However I wouldn't have bought one regardless of the issues with the current pricing. Besides I game t 4k and my R9 290 is a better choice up there.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

...by which they admitted that they were lying about the cards specs. Its not a big deal, but I personally dislike Nvidias attitude towards their customers. Their TDP ratings are also highly inaccurate.

The 970 is still an awesome card, but Nvidias dishonesty and greed kinda bugs me.

The GTX 970 is how it has always been. Nothing has changed. The card will still get 60fps in game X, 70fps in game Y, and it will still get score Z on 3DMark.

Feel free to disagree, but this is my stance on it.

No, I wouldn't return it;

1.) Knowing how the 970's memory works doesn't change its performance.

2.) It's still a kickass card for the price.

3.) The memory config is only really an issue at 4K, and if you're complaining about it it's your own fault for trying to run 4K games with only 1 GPU.

The only real problem surrounding this whole "scandal" is that Nvidia lied, whether or not it was intentional is another issue.
