I'm not sure why people ask about a product no one knows about except for the company and perhaps some people under NDA. We're not some magical beings.

Rumour has it they will postpone until Q2 due to high sales of 970's

They would only compete with themselves unless the card was sub $250 AUD

I think it'll be even better than the 970, maybe even challenge the 980. And at $199.

I doubt it. Why would NVIDIA challenge their own higher end cards at a much cheaper price? In terms of price to performance, it might be better, but in raw performance? No.

It may persuade some more people to upgrade if they are on a tighter budget. That being said, with the low end 970's being around $330 I'd expect prices to start at around $230, I doubt that $200 would be something we'd see without a MIRB or some sort of deal.

It would create too much internal competition. I don't think it would be a smart move. In addition, I'm sure many 970 and 980 users would feel seriously screwed over.

We don´t know yet what this card will bring... but instead of bringing new highend GPUs that can handle 4K better AMD and nVidia drag their feet with those cheap ass budget cards like the R9 285 or this GTX960, while more and better 4K displays (like the new RoG 4K) are around the corner.

speculation on the low end cards is always funny, because with the high end cards it's as good as you're gonna get for a while, while budget cards are all about the performance per dollar. I think the big fight is going to be over the 760 and 960(non Ti) and which is actually better outside cherry picked benchmarks. If anything, the regular 960 will be there as a lure to get budget gamers to step up to a 960 Ti for double the performance, for maybe only 50-75 bucks more and totally dominating the 280x. Nvidia are really starting to be strategic with their pricing and marketing tactics, while still not having quite as many sku's as AMD. I think its cool.

same goes when GTX780Ti was the king of GPUs
