But seriously, I'm not saying people who post once in the thread (that's the requirement for entering, and I posted like 4 times...), but rather people who post 1-5 times in that thread purely for the giveaway, and then leave and never come back or contribute in any way. 

Quite the same way as leechers with torrenting.

I don't think it's wrong but I'm not with it, look at all the youtube channels you look at, if one of them makes a giveaway and it requires you to register in their forum, I want to get in the giveaway but I don't want to be an active member I just want to get in the giveaway and get a chance to win, again I don't agree with it but I don't think it's wrong.

Well, are you only a user of the Forum or do you watch the videos as well? You can't possibly watch the videos, because @LinusTech brings it up time and time again as well:

 

People who are watching the videos regularly don't necessarily post on here. I have been the same for quite some time and infact am watching almost every video of Linus, though I don't feel like I have to spend all my time on here. Does this disqualify me from entering give-aways, though I am a supporter of his videos?

 

I highly doubt so. This community should not become one of those elitist jerk-circles where you're screaming "BUT YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING!11 YOU DON'T HAVE NEARLY ENOUGH POSTS!!11"

We can be better than that ofc. But its just so hard with many multiple bot accounts just to win a rig. I mean i couldve done that too... maybe i should try that in the next giveaway...

As @LukaP said, they could be a long time Youtube viewer, only recently signing up to the forums.

Just because they have 1 forum post, doesn't mean they are just here for the giveaways .

There are more means than you're aware of to filter those out. It may not be in a live-draw - but I am fairly positive that they're going to invest more than 2 seconds in checking whether the account is legit or not, considering they are giving away tech worth multiple thousands of dollars.

 

I am disappoint, that @LukaP gets a like from @Slick, but I don't. I was FIRST!!11
