I would use this on my workstation to run multiple virtual machines, intensive compilations of things like the linux kernel etc.

Would finish my workstation build. I started september from x99 mobo and 16gigs of ram. October 600w evga power supply and cooltek u3 case + corsair h80i watercooler. November zotac gtx 970. December 250GB samsung ssd. That prosessor would be last touch...

If i won this baby I would be putting her to good use on finally being able to run crysis....... or any other game

I'm not kidding my current cpu has to be run at a solid 1Ghz underclock so i can boot to windows and cant run any game for longer than an hour without crashing.

Please lord let me win, i can't take this any longer

Since this would probably bottleneck everything in my system and I do not have money to buy other expensive parts, If I were to win I would sell this cpu and get a budget gaming i3 gaming rig for myself, I do not run pretty punishing games. :)

well i cannot actually use the processor since i don't have a system i can put it into so,

i will save it for next year when i build my own system. :D

 

but when the time comes.gaming and multi tasking things

I'd use the CPU for gaming mostly, but it'd also come in handy for my music production!

I am planning to build a pc this christmas and being short on money, I would really like this intel I7 as it would enable me to buy a better gpu and motherboard, so please LET ME WIN!!!!

I would build a pc since i dont have one anymore i used to play around with after effects but had a dual core...

If i win this i would start getting into video editing again and create some cool content maybe game a lil bit too :)

I would use the i7 5820K for building my first real "all around" RIG, at the moment I only have an PC with an amd athlon II x4 640, and it sucks for EVERYTHING :/

I would LOVE to have this processor. I work on a tight budget and want to upgrade and getting this chip would certainly help with doing so.

My current rig still runs an i7 2600K. For gaming and everyday usage a pretty powerful CPU with a lot of overclocking headroom. But as soon as I'm editing videos or create After Effects project things start to slow down significantly.

Just a few days ago I thought... well... it's time to upgrade soon. And the best bang for the buck workstation solution seems to be the i7 5820K.

This would go straight into my new rig for Star Citizen. Once i can eventually afford the rest of it. Winning a processor would certainly speed things up.
