those are meatballs or koetbullar, just because they are bite sized... Frikadellen are bigger =) 

 

A few years ago at a butcher inside a Karstadt Gourmet they had frikadellen the size of a big fist for 1 euro a piece... I ordered a few for lunch ( I think 2) and just plainly said "two of those meatballs!" They looked at me funnily and said those are frikadellen, I corrected them, frikadellen are bigger, those are meatballs...

and wash your "working" knifes by hand, not in the dish washer... if you got a wooden block, like many have, to store your knifes when not in use, put them in edges up, not edge down.

yes usually balls are round... but you should have seen all the circles my old raidforce uses to make... a piece of modern art ;P

Great advice, which I already know.  Yeah, these knives are almost 2 years older than me, which makes them almost 17. They were my parent's wedding gift from my grandparents

I think they're nylon or something on mine. Or at least some kind of plastic.

before I started working in the IT, right after school I worked as a chef in a small restaurant... hell a lot of fun, but nothing for me to do for a living... long worktimes, in summer harsh enviroment, stressfull... 

 

But I learned something already as child, care for your tools, and never buy "cheap" but always worth the money.

Oh god. Imagine the mess after just using it a few times. Dust everywhere  

They are just flexible rods. So you can store a bunch of different knives.

Sort of a universal knife block. Instead of the ones made for a specific set.
