Wondering why consolers would be upset with a PC user over that image. (Or any user for that matter)

That image (and context) affects everyone's platform of choice.

They should be asking where they can get one. :)

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

"The game (in its current state) is issuing approximately 50,000 draw calls on the DirectX 11 API. Problem is, DX11 is only equipped to handle ~10,000 peak draw calls. What happens after that is a severe bottleneck with most draw calls culled or incorrectly rendered, resulting in texture/NPCs popping all over the place. On the other hand, consoles have to-the-metal access and almost non-existent API Overhead but significantly underpowered hardware which is not able to cope with the stress of the multitude of polygons. Simply put, its a very very bad port for the PC Platform and an unoptimized (some would even go as far as saying, unfinished) title on the consoles".

Isn't Mantle supposed to reduce draw calls? Reduce CPU overhead? I bet Ubisoft would be bitching about Mantle as well.....

The PS4 CPU gives ~102 GFLOP/s. Console hardware performs as ~2x faster PC hardware due to fixed-hardware optimizations plus low-level API access to hardware. Thus you need a ~205 GFLOP/s CPU on a PC. This is the performance provided by a SandyBridge quad-core @ 3.2GHz or by octo-core Piledriver at same clocks.

Of course this is total throughout, if lazy developers insist on using only one or two cores of a total of four/eight then it is likely that will hit a bottleneck. And I don't even expect a fairly well made game to saturate all that horsepower.

Update: They did multi-thread the game to some degree but boy the code and the optimization is atrocious..... How unfinished can a released game be?

Ubisoft keeps digging their grave.

The problem is that this is an nVidia product and scoring any nVidia product a "zero" is also highly predictive of the number of nVidia products the reviewer will receive for review in the future.

I wasn't wrong. It's extremely rare that I am. I provided sources as well. Different devs can disagree. Further, we now have confirmed discrepancy from Twitter about he use of the pre-release 1080 driver in AMD's demo despite the release 1080 driver having been out a week prior.

You apparently haven't seen his responses to questions on YouTube. He is very condescending and aggressive in his comments with which there is little justification. He acts totally different in his videos. I don't necessarily care for this content style and there is nothing really unique about him or his channel. His endless dick jokes and toilet humor are annoying as well.

There's also nothing in this article that says Ubisoft is blaming AMD. Clickbait article is clickbait.

Hmm...I think before blaming themselves yet they'll probably blame NVIDIA. Then when NVIDIA

doesn't take the crap they'll blame Microsoft. Who next? :o: * shakes head in disbelief*

Agreed, "working with" and "blaming" are different things.

Pretty fucking sure that you're the one who is supposed to optimize the damn game YOU MADE. How the hell is AMD involved with this if it is terrible on ALL computers and BOTH consoles. (Yes, I know that the consoles run AMD parts)

then you should see that Ubisoft isn't actually blaming AMD.

While they aren't blaming them directly.  They are saying it's only an issue on the AMD platform, which just plain isn't true.

"We are aware that the graphics performance of Assassin's Creed Unity on PC may be adversely affected by certain AMD CPU and GPU configurations."

The problem isn't AMD, its drivers, or CPUs.  The problem is it's a bad port.
