Posted November 1, 2014 So yea, I got a speeding ticket. Well, whatever, I got an attorney to represent me in court on the date of the ticket, November 5th. Well... Just today, I got a letter from the Municiple Court stating that I've missed the court date, and that I'm due to show on a new date, or pay a slightly larger fine. I've sent an email to the court as given in the letter, and plan to call both the attorney's office and the court on Monday, but why would this happen? Posted November 1, 2014 Since a speeding ticket is a minor offense, you probably received a summons in the mail, saying that you need to reappear at a new court date, and if you don't show at this new date then you will get a bench warrant.
