Aaaahhh. this is where spec requirement threads belong, I should have made the thread here and not in gaming...

 

 

I'm not worried. Just a matter of time until community pumps out a fix and shames Ubisoft.

 

The thing is I saw a guy with a 570 post that he'll preorder the game despite seeing the requirements. Not just buy, but preorder.

If you see anyone preordering a Ubi game, cut their internet connection right away.

 

 

You know what ... if those specs are the minimum, I think im fine with it. Not many games "demands" to have good to great specs these days. If it looks good, Imo im for it. I understand the "appeal to the most people possible" dilemna but Im on the side of pushing things up more than the past 3 years.

 

Edit : BTW I have a 670 and i5 2500k. So I might not even be able to run it properly.

 

 

I think you are missing the point. I hear people who have seen it say the look of the game doesn't justify the specs requirement. This morning I was told the game is demoed on a beast PC, all the official youtube videos are made on the PC but they use xbox controllers because of the marketing deals with Microsoft.

 

The other thing is, having SLI Titans hasn't prevented Ubi games dipping to 20's in the past.

I have the feeling Ubisoft isn't shitting on us with this.
All reports are that the consoles are barely running the game at sub 30fps/900p with 1,8Tflops.
And the consoles don't even have Tessellation,HBAO. nor AA in the game which the PC version does as shown in slides from Nvidia.
It's also the only open world game that supports PBR besides Star Citizen which is also probably a reason for those requirements.
I wouldn't be surprised if you actually need that much power to run the game at 1080p/60fps.(You'll probably play the game 1080p/30 with less)

The game really doesn't look that impressive, my gtx 770 as minimum card? Yeah right. It's not the highest-end card there it, but it most certainly has plenty of power to play almost everything at 1080p with ease.

It will work just don't expect 1080p.

He probably will need to play at 900p/720p.

Minimum requirements almost two times as powerful as console potato.

Unless that means minimum requirement is for 1080p 60fps max settings.

I doubt it, it's ubisoft after all.

They are going to downgrade the graphics and performance of ACU to look identical to consoles, so UBI thinks that when console players look at it they will be thinking to themselves "Wow ACU on pc require these powerful rig to run an ACU port that looks and preforms like it does on the consoles, wow my console must be on par with a high end pc rig"

Conclusion- either the requirements are bullshit. Or the game was intentionally screwed on PC.

I chose to believe that these requirements are bullshit and we will see the actual requirements confirmed by Ubisoft shortly.

Well obviously the PC version will be significantly higher in more than the graphics. Probably more NPCs , More texture variety , Better AI.

But those system requirements are Very high for a Minimum, Gtx 680 and HD 7970 are very Good cards and can handle Crysis 3 1080p , Ultra with FXAA at 66 and 63 Fps.

So why is the GPU that can max Crysis 3 at 60fps 1080p a Minimum requirement for this game?

I'm pretty sure it's in-game it looks like the console footage just with better AA,AO,higher resolution ect. what you would expect from running it on max settings.

I ran Watch Dogs with Ultra/High mixed at 60 fps on a 770, AC Unity is not more graphically intensive than Watch Dogs

It will run fines according to Nvidia customer care, at high setting, presumably 30fps+ range 1080p with gtx 860m/ 750. This is not the first game that has tessellation, HBAO+ and other technology. I guess it will run fines, not bad optimization it seems, just their department is drunk again and says some random non sense shit like always.
