Beware of virus

Lays

There's an email going around that claims it's fedex saying they failed to deliver a package to your house.

Underneathe it will be a date they tried to deliver, and a button that says "receive packing information"  Don't download it, there's malware and a few other viruses in it.

My mom was looking through her email earlier, luckily I was standing there and caught it before she downloaded anything.

The email isn't from fedex, it's from some random email address that ripped some fedex logos and things off.

Just a friendly heads up.

Ta! but as I don't use fedex anyway, it's unlikely to affect me, and "most" of my family have been educated (by myself) not to go clicking on random links.

Haha, my aunt got hit with this last week. It seems to be some sort of fake PDF that is really a .exe, well at least the one she got infected with.

Malwarebytes got it all, and I looked through the registry and every other nook and cranny I could think of and it was gone for good.

Hello.

I have just found out about VERY BAD VIRUS. Some of you may already know this, but some don't. All do this may be a false alarm/fake, I advise caution! There is a word, that a very severe virus is out there.

If you receive an e-mail named POSTCARD or an e-mail with an attachment named POSTCARD FORM HALLMARK, DO NOT OPEN IT!! Microsoft and CNN have confirmed, that this is the most devastating virus ever. The virus destroys the part of your hard drive that holds the vital informations (fries your C drive)! Notify everyone you know to be careful.

DO NOT even think about forwarding it to anyone!

IF YOU RECEIVE THE EMAIL, DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY OR EVEN BETTER, SHUT DOWN YOUR PC!!!

More information here: http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/postcard.asp (or you can just Google it, laziness)
