The coolers on those two cards look absolutely awesome, and I want one

 

However, is there a practical reason to go so much overboard when buying a card?

- The overclock performance seemingly isn't helped much by the longer card/third fan.

- It's not likely to be quieter - slower fan rotation, but three fans.

 

It could be quieter/passively cooled under low load I guess?

Looks like the zotac cards are better clocked cards than the others and look cooler

I am honestly surprised. I thought the new 900 series would just be more powerful. However they pushed even further and significantly improved the power consumption and drivers while improving the power!

I like the GTX 900 series in general, but this cards look really nice and I'd like a more detailed at the OC+ module.
