LemonSpice

I'm sorry for you, but AMD's CPU are suck. You should to buy an intel CPU and AMD GPU is a good equal.

Had an AMD X4 + 5850 OC+Storm Scout 1

Saved up about $600 and got myself a 2600K+Mobo to Suit+Faster 2133Mhz DDR3

Overtime...... bought a WF3 HD7950 ($320), then this R9 WF3 290-OC ($520 at the time), then my CM N600 case($80),.. then my CPU died.

Now have spent another few hundred replacing that on the 4690+AsusZ97-K+Evga 750w S-Modular+120mm AIO LC

Can't remember what it all costs, but yeah, I upgrade over time with up to $400-800 budget for parts depending what I need.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

I've thought about it but I'm just going to build a new rig and use this one for a streaming machine/plex server. Probably go i5 and gtx970 in the near future.

Complete setup (not even close to done yet) including desk and chair and all audio equipment will be close to $17k, about $6k of which is internal components.

Was built over time, subsidised by work and review samples. It's also not primarily for gaming, rather for work and media use, so it will pay for itself quickly,

This may take some time to work out due to the age of some parts and only my CPU is from the original build.

Unfortunately I use a ASUS laptop because I needed one for school it was cheap and preforms fine for the games I play.

I budgeted $600 for the tower (I spent $599.98) and then I bought my monitor and peripherals out of budget. I ended up spending $928.82USD in total.

Upgraded over time, so it's hard to say. Then again I'm pretty sure I don't even want to begin calculating how much the current configuration costs.

I had to guess as I couldn't be bothered to convert the currency. But I would say just shy of $2,000. It only cost more than what I wanted to spend as my motherboard died and so did my PSU about three months in.

my current gaming machine is the blade which costed me around $2400 and +100 for insurance and all the other goodies. the new planned rig will probably cost me near a grand now that i decided to use a few old parts like my hdd and ram.

Laptop -------- $300
SSD ----------- $240
Mouse -------- $7

Quickfire TK - Birthday

it's not really a gaming PC. It's just a high-end mobile APU that just happens to be good at gaming... (relatively speaking)

I upgrade my GPU more often than anything else. I will keep my precious 2500k till it can't be done with it anymore. Honestly it looks pretty good for me. Gaming really hasn't changed to my disadvantage.

A similar system would probably be around 1500€ right now. I have only once really built a completely new system till bow though. And that was 7 years ago.

PC: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 @4.2HGhz 1.25V || Noctua NH-U12S SE2 || 16GB (2×8GB) Aegis 3000Mhz CL16 @3200Mhz ||

I had a good plan and selection of parts, but at the last minute got a great deal and ended up spending more. Got a better performance pr. $ though. That was 4 years ago and I upgraded since
