Windows X-ONE 

 

this gives us correct number, an X in the name(edgy and bold) and a ONE(everything has to be THE ONE)

Or they could pull an nVidia, skip the 9, and go straight to Windows X. Then they'll switch to a yearly rolling update schedule to stop their platform from becoming stagnant and make sure it's freshly secured every year, with each update being Windows 10.1, 10.2, 10.3,...

They're all focused on integrating everything now. Xbox One, One Drive, Windows One, Microsoft Lumia One, Office One (year subscription), Microsoft One (Renamed IE) and Finally they'll rename Minecraft to Microsoft OneCraft.

 

edit: When they update windows One because nobody likes it, It will be Windows One.1

A lot of dumb suggestions in this thread, I mean clearly they are going to call it:

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

why not just stick to 8.2 because lets face it....that's what it is....it adds enough to be a change but still looks too much like windows 8 (if the leaks are real) to be a whole new OS

Why can't they just make it Windows 9.  There's nothing wrong with good old chronological numbering.

Maybe they'll go the route of game developers and just name it the same thing with a stupid subtitle.
