Best LAN games?

Just some games that are available to play on LAN. Looking mainly for FPS. I know there's Doom to run in DosBox, Quake 3 Arena (is that right?), CS:GO, CS1.6, Minecraft of course. Any other obvious ones I might have missed?

Counter Strike totally, and yeah minecraft is good as well. Try TF2?

Team Fortress 2 (Although it's more fun with more people), Minecraft (If you're still into it), Left 4 Dead 2 is a lot of fun. Counter-Strike. Killing Floor.

woah not too sure why these haven't been brought up but maybe i just like the classics... how about Return to Castle Wolfenstein and RTCW ET (Enemy Territory) RTCW:ET is Free cause they cancelled making the single player campaign for it so they just released the multi-player component.

There should just be a sticky or something with LAN game recomendations. Have a list with all the good points about the game, such as strong lan support. Maybe break it down into category or something.

Diablo 2 and StarCraft 1 or 2 but I think one in a LAN setting is more fun.

Age of Empire 2 or 3 but prefer 2 in LAN setting many more but eveyone else has good ideas also.

CoD 3 is also a fun game, but you would need to get consols for that.

Another game to look at, is Borderlands 2.

woah not too sure why these haven't been brought up but maybe i just like the classics... how about Return to Castle Wolfenstein and RTCW ET (Enemy Territory) RTCW:ET is Free cause they cancelled making the single player campaign for it so they just released the multi-player component.

Try Natural Selection 2. It's a competitive team based FPS that pits marines vs aliens. It's a very unique game.
