  • CPU = Brain
  • Motherboard = Heart
  • RAM = Memory part of brain
  • Graphics Card = Sex Appeal
  • Power Supply = Heart/Circulatory System?
  • Fans = Lungs?
  • Case = Skin
  • Dreams - RAM? Boot Cycle?

 

Just a random thought, and something that was posted on reddit, I couldn't think of a better forum on here . . . .

Technically the internal components would be the brain, PSU would be the blood, and the case would be the skull. I think of the entire computer as the brain.

I'd say the motherboard would be the nervous system (traces) and the power supply would be the heart/circulatory system.

I think case would have to be skeletal system. Not sure what the skin would be.

i think it's more like the ODD for some people.

It can extend, some don't have it and instead have a slot, completely useless to some, can be useful very often, but is not used 99% of the time

is annoying when it randomly opens, is a chore to close

very prone to damage if hit

it's nearly a perfect metaphor.

I disagree with the CPU being the brain! Think about it The motherboard is connected to everything like the brain is so the CPU would be the heart and the MoBo the brain...

Yes/no THe brain is conencted to the spinal cord so i still stand on my idea...

I think of a watercooling system as this:

Heart-pump

Lungs-radiators

Blood-coolant

Blood vessels(the tubes that blood goes trough, correct me if they aren't called like that and I'm a retard)-tubing

the GPU would be the occipital lobe and optic nerve

the CPU would be the parietal and temporal lobes, and brain stem

the BIOS chip would be part of the frontal lobe

the motherboard would be the spinal cord

the Ram and HDD would be the Hippocampus

the PSU would be the digestive system

the cables etc would be the circulatory system

I always thought of it as (Using yours as a guide and edited)

 

  • CPU = BrainPower/Memory/Controller
  • Motherboard = Spine/Nervous System (the interconnect)
  • RAM = BrainPower/Memory
  • Graphics Card = Eyesight and Memory
  • Power Supply = Heart
  • Case = Skin

I never went as far as Fans=Lungs and whatnot or clarifying it all but yeah... your not alone thinking about this stuff.

Either way, PC or Human,..your gunna be getting probed by technicians at some point.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
