Skyrim Legendary Pack Steam

joenewbie

I just bought this and discovered my new favorite game 2 weeks ago for what I thought was the deal price of 20 bucks, it lists for 39.99.

But until Monday on Steam Legendary Edition of Skyrim is only $13.59 USD.

Do I feel robbed, no, even at 20 bucks it was a great deal for a great game.  And yes it's 2011, but the texture pack mods really bring the graphics up to 2013/14 levels.

I've never played a game with so much to do and so much depth, so if you haven't tried it yet, but have considered it, seems now is the time.

I spent 3 months figuring out my current skyrim load order and cleaning it up, and after all the work I can I am glad I did.

Boss was of no help bud I used BOSS when doing it, and that screwed up the load order to the point I was CTD before I could even show the Bethesda Logo.

Skyrim is my favourite game, on par with Minecraft. I've been modding for well over a year now, but I only built my current PC a few months back. Since then I've been installing all those visual mods I've always wanted to use, tweaking my inis to hell and I'm still finding out about new things all the time. The following screenshot was taken 2 days ago with my screenshot configuration:

I was also able to get in contact with hodilton (quite possibly the best Skyrim cinematographer, check him out on YouTube!), and I finally got a gameplay configuration which doesn't look utterly terrible.

LOOT is a better option (imo), it's the successor of BOSS. Unrecognised mods won't get ignored

LOOT acted just like BOSS and broke the Load order I had worked on for a month.

Are you sure it's your load order? I'm always using at least 200 mods at once and I never have load order issues.

You need high res textures for that imperial armor on the last shot, looks rather crappy vs everything else

I don't use the imperial Armor so it really doesn't bug me all that much.

That looks incredible! What textures/lighting are you using?

Yeah, other than the texture mods I tried only one other, SkyUI, so I could keep my stuff in one chest and maybe organize it.  What a pain.  It worked ok, it just lagged every time I opened a chest.   I might use it when I move from one house to another but otherwise, not so much.   As it stands I just use a different storage container for each "type" of item.  Food goes here, Ingredients go there, and I keep what's in where straight in my own head, I know what chest/barrel/cupboard has what in it for when I need to look.

Would have been nice if that mod didn't lag though.

Cool, cool, but in case you later play an imperial:

For textures I'm mainly using Texture Pack Combiner to combine Skyrim HD - 2k Textures, Serious HD Retexture Skyrim and Skyrim Realistic Overhaul. The other mods you can see in this screenshot are Realistic Water Two with ENB Textures, Watercolor for ENB and Realistic Water Two, Unbelievable Grass HD 2k, Vivid Landscapes - Rocking Stones and Mountains Two, Skyrim Flora Overhaul and TreesHD_Skyrim_Variation, I'm using dozens of other texture mods though. For lighting I usually use one of the three K ENBs (in this case K ENB Pure Light), they are on the bleeding edge of ENB preset development and are without a doubt the most advanced and demanding presets around. Your ini files also make a huge difference, for this screenshot I've turned up all my ini values until I was getting sub 5 frame rates.
