A SSD would be good :)

and maybe a better GPU like a 280x or a 285 or even a 290x... you can buy a 290x for about 380€ so thats a really great deal if you have the money!

Perhaps a GTX 770 or so.

I once had one of these, now I've got this.

If you want a high end card R9 290 unless you want to stick with Nvidia then 780, 280X for budget reasons or 770 if you want Nvidia, an SSD like a Samsung 840 Evo or Crucial MX100

Intel Core i5 4690K @ 4.2Ghz | Evga GTX 780 Ti SC ACX with backplate | MSI Gaming 9 AC | 8GB (2x4) Corsair Vengeance Pro Silver 2400 MHz | Corsair H105 128GB Crucial MX100 | Toshiba 2TB | Evga 750G2 | Corsair Obsidian 750d | Be Quiet Silent Wings 2 PWM (3x140mm & 3x120mm)

I'd probably get a Samsung SSD. Better controller = longer lifespan.

Welcome to the forum! :)

With 500$ you can upgrade quite a few things to make your PC just a little nicer and faster. a GTX 750 Ti can handle Battlefield 4 at decent settings, but if you want the best experience on Ultra settings (until the game crashes because it's battlefield 4 ), a GPU upgrade would be great. Also a SSD would help a lot.

Aaaaand:

I'd get these 2:

While an SSD will help massively in making your computer feel faster and more responsive. It won't help much in games, apart from quicker loading times.  If you want the better FPS performance in games you should upgrade your GPU.

An SSD, for sure. With the spare money?

Maybe wait a month or so, and grab a second-hand GTX 780 perhaps? Once the 900-series is out, that is.

Maybe if you can find a good one, new mobo with LGA1150, and 4th gen I5/I7. 2nd generation is a bit too old, 3rd gen people will keep their processors and and wait till maybe 5th gen mainstream. 3rd generation Intel processors are still great, but only for those who have it currently. It's not worth upgrading to a 3rd gen processor for those who don't have it. Don't get me wrong, I love my I7-3770 at 4.0 GHz, but like I said, don't get 3rd gen, those who already have it are good for 1 more year.

Upgrading processors won't help him much in gaming. The games are mostly being held back by gpu now a days. Just because he cpu is a couple of generations bak doesn't mean that is the part holding he computer bak.

I would upgrade ur gpu or ssd.

Like what people said above the ssd will help responsiveness rather the increase fps
