Tried Clear CMOS I assume.

Would it work though? Is there not something different about the KPE compared to the classy?

PM'd Vlad the KPE zip. He can try to flash them if he wants to.

GZ to the crown @ JustCallMeVlad your 2800USD + 1000USD for the CPU against my overall 2800USD investment brought you #1 here.

I´m happy that we´ve got a person with a 4way config here, because we were missing that in this forum and I´m happy that it didn´t have to be me to do that. Vlad what you see here is a very normal scenario. There are a lot of things to consider, and OCing 3 or 4 cards isn´t the same as 1 or 2.

In fact OCing a 3way or a 4way is very much different and a lot more difficult. And then there is a certain scaling of the machine within that calculation, meaning some machines scale better in 1080p which is FS and some scale better in FSU which is 4K. Why are you complaining? You made it in the top10 of FSU in your bracket with 4 cards in the first shot! That´s great!

Your motherboard isn´t really holding you back. It´s true that the Deluxe and OCF or R5E give you like 120points in Physics score, but that´s nothing. Especially in FSU. I tested the 5960X against the 5930K both OCed to 4.7GHz with same OCs on the GPUs and 7°Celsius ambient temp. The difference was in the end in FSU a margin of +80 points towards the 5960X although my Physics score was +3500points more. What you see here Vlad is a normal scenario for a multi GPU setup running more than 2 cards.

The reason why you can´t achieve significantly more result is for one thing that you miss full cover watercooling on those cards, and as long as you do not have that do yourself the favor and don´t benchmark with an extreme BIOS I guarantee you, you won´t be able to evacuate the heat anymore of GPU1 and GPU2. And then when we talk about watercooling, then I mean a watercooling like I have, high end. With a bare minimum of 360mm radiator per card, because you want to make sure that this is benchmark stable with very high OC. The keyword here is the Delta Temperature! Also you should have at least 2.5 liters of fluid in the loop and the right calculated amount of flow, that means matching tubes, pump and flow optimized scenario. Watercooling just for the looks and nice cooling is easy. Watercooling as highend cooling solution right under the SubZero solutions isn´t that easy, though I´m positively sure you will pull it out since you seem to have the same unlimited funds that I have :).

The second reason why this is hard with multi GPU with more than 2 cards is your CPU itself, even if you manage 4.7GHz, even if you can go to fullcover waterblocks with your GPUs and even if you have the highend watercooling your CPU will be the limiting factor in benchmarks, 3D applications and games. Games will be something else, because the fourth card will scale at best 10-15% and in some games it will be 0. But back to the CPU. The CPU handles all communication over your PCIe lanes and in your case with the 5960X and 4way SLI your having x8/x8/x8/x8 which is fine for non OCed or moderate OCed cards and runs. But the more you go down in resolution the more the GPUs need to communicate with the CPU and then you start bottlenecking in 1080p and with the 4 cards even in 1440p. The result of that in games will be input lag that your eyes understand as MicroStuttering. That´s why a 3 or 4 way SLI should only be run in 4K resolution these days. Because then the rendering for GPUs gets a lot more and the CPU won´t be a limiting factor unless you want LN2 for benchmarking, but other than that watercooling is fine. In the aftermath that means for you as long as you do not have a 5960X that provides 5.5GHz you will bottleneck the cards in 1080p so much that you´ll never be able to make it in the top 5 of FS.

You will also need to dial in the GPUs individually for 3 or 4 cards setup. But not as single cards. That will be countless hours of benchmarking, but thank god your just as much enthusiast as me :).

Max I've seen was while folding with it, my 7950, and 480 all going, and that was about 65C. Fan RPM was something like 80%. I have crap airflow to my CPU, since it all goes to the GPUs. xD
