Depends on how much faster it is than the 980. If it blows it away 699.99 is reasonable

Sometimes I like the way you think haha. For that statement you´d get a shitstorm in certain forums around the net ;). You are right of course but AMD believers think it will be faster than the Titan X or at least on par with it for 500USD.

If you look at the latest moves of AMD´s GPU sector, I personally would fire people in my job if they´d pull moves like that. Where Freesync monitors get released and you can´t use it because the driver doesn´t exist yet, and even when they bring the driver you can´t use it with CF. Meaning the 1440p 144Hz monitor can´t be used fully because there´s no driver available...

For me personally that are reasons NOT to buy AMD. Sorry but I am an enthusiast and I only care about highend hardware, if I can´t use it then it´s useless to me. The benchmarks... yeah I enjoy doing benchmarking, but if we are realistic about it, in game performance is more important.

It´s not that I don´t always tell the people, but then it seems to me that they think, that I want something bad for them somehow. As example I like, that you took the path with the 4way SLI, but IMHO, and I told you that, the move wasn´t the best, because the Titans will outnumber your score by far. You still might stay the top dog in this forum for a long while, since I do not see too many people buy 3 or 4 way Titan SLIs, but this changes big time looking on HWBot or the HoF of 3D Mark. With the invenstment behind that 4way SLI you could have gotten a 2way Titan X SLI and have the better deal by the end of the day, because of a better 2way scaling and way more VRAM.

Which won´t matter any more, because when they launch in June, I think a good availability will start in July and that means the GTX980 and GTX970 is just about 6 weeks shy from beeing a year on the market. nVidia will answer rather quick with something like a cut down Titan X, which will be cheaper than the Titan X of course, with a bit more performance than the R9 390(X). That nVidia is capable of fair pricing is good to see with the GTX970, GTX980 and their new Shield console.

Actually that driver is announced for March 19th. For me a joke, and not a funny one as enthusiast.

Well that's just peachy.

My CX600M started some coil whine last night, now my GTX 970 stops video output after several minutes of operation. The kicker is I wasn't even running an OC either. Tested it in several other systems and same results. Sigh. Put a spare 7970 into my system, PSU started screaming so I figure it's 12V rail is toast. F*** you Corsair. Strange how they approved my RMA in seconds. Think I'll sell it when I get the new one, and buy another BeQuiet or Seasonic. Got the whole of FrankenPC torn apart again.

Still waiting to hear back from Gigabyte, hopefully they'll approve my RMA.

What sort of temps you getting with that?

Don't know I wouldn't run 1.45v 24/7 on air since I'm not gonna take a risk on a GPU that I'm trying to sell.
