Probably as old as a Core 2 Duo as long as it has some kind of GPU in it. Those things are still pretty viable for everything but gaming/heavy editing tbh.

  • 1 year later...

Mine would have to be my 2012 iPad 4. I've used this for almost 5 years and I don't see any reason to upgrade, as the screen looks great on it and it is perfect for reading forums, manga, etc. 2012 may not seem to be that long ago, but in tech years I'd say it's a bit aged.

Probably my old Dell 19" monitor that I use for my server. That thing must be at least 8 years old.

Well, I'm using my Samsung Galaxy S4 daily and I bought it in 2014, 2-3 months before S5 was released. I don't know why I didn't wait for S5 but I'm very happy with my S4, especially because it's rooted and running a custom ROM. I don't know is it really that old but at least 3 years.^_^ I'm considering buying a new phone but still I think I can use this phone at least until end of this year.

Primary system:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700X @3.9GHz | MOBO: ASUS Prime X370-Pro | RAM: G Skill Ripjaws V 16GB DDR4 3200MHz @2933MHz | GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 Dual | PSU: EVGA Supernova 750 G2 750W | System disk: 250GB SSD Samsung 850 EVO| Storage: 1TB HDD 7200rpm Western Digital Blue | Display: Acer Predator X34A | OS: Windows 10 Home |

Fujitsu Esprimo PH300 Previous/Backup system:

CPU: Intel Core i5-2310 | MOBO: Fujitsu D2990-A2 | RAM: 8GB DDR3 | GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT630 |

My '07 Dodge Ram.

My N64 hasn't gotten much love because I haven't gotten time to play with her.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

This is a hard one becuse I have a ton of lod computers and sound stuff. I think that my old AMD 750mhz is the most used old computer that I have up and running. I have a 8088 put up and pullout and fire up every year to check the harddrives in it.

Probably the 160GB hard drive in my rig. I recovered it from a rig that was one of the first pc's with socket 775, it was a pentium D with 256 or 512MB DDR memory, awesome...

No idea how old it is exactly but my guess is 12-13 years :P

My AV receiver, the Denon AVR-1602. Its not being used in the intended way (which was a to power a 5.1 channel speaker setup), instead i use it in analog stereo mode.

Entry level of the AVR line in 1997, never rebuilt, cleaned only once and it still holds strong!

Acer Veriton 5100

Tuatalin Celeron 1200 OC@1.32ghz

Nvidia GeForce MX4000

256mb ram, CD read drive and floppy drive, and sound/speaker card

The system averages out at 2004 (?) or older and still works, but with it I have a Microsoft mechanical PS/2 mouse with really nice clicky buttons that might be older. ..

Oldest part in my Devil's Canyon / Pascal build right now is a 750GB WD Black WD7501AALS SATA HDD from 2009.

Oldest that has been in it in the last several months were a still-working 250GB WD2500JB IDE HDD from 2004, and a clicking 80GB WD800BB IDE HDD from 2001 that spontaneously resurrected itself for like a day or two.

I've still got a hard drive from the first PC I had ever built.  I just use it to basically store steam games now but after 4-5 years of use I still have yet to fill up the entire 1 TB drive

Unfortunately for me, the HDD from my first PC is only 80MB, and its useless outside of my 386DX40 rig due to only MS-DOS fitting on it well.

I7 6700k is the oldest part by date of purchase in my pc at the moment.

7700k just is not worth the upgrade.

Excluding peripherals, probably my two WD 500 gig HDDs

Including peripherals, my Akai AM-A1 from 1984-1987 (can't remember the exact year, but it was only manufactured in that period)

Everything, I am at school on computer using DDR2. I don't exactly know what it is using either.

(I have no assignments to do ATM, that is why I am posting)

My own PC's oldest part would be the HDD. It's some Segate OEM drive.

We got lucky enough to have Intel w/ Nvidia in our Cad Labs at school :)
