Now, let me first make a disclaimer. Before you go and chop my head off, let me first point out that I am calling no one here a fanboy, and that it's perfectly okay to be a fan of a certain brand or style. When I mention aggressive fan, I mean fans of companies/products/whatever who bash, insult or shut out others who use products or different methods of doing something than themselves, or make phony comments, claims or reviews to make a competitor look bad, or any other extremities. Again, not pointing fingers. To put it simply, aggressive fans who seem to be arrogant towards other brands and their users/fanbase and very defensive towards their brand. I'm not quite sure how else to explain it. And please, NO WARS IN THE RESPONSES! It's great that you are a fan of something, it really is, no sarcasm intended. So please, no arguing. Let's try and keep this civilized! I made the votes hidden so no one decides to go and insult anyone.

 

Personally, any aggressive fan, or most commonly known as "fanboys/fangirls" bothers me. I don't care if it's an aggressive fan of Apple, Microsoft, PC gaming, console gaming, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry or Walmart, for example. If a person is actively attempting to put down another brand (be it using actual evidence or making false claims) it starts to become a little annoying, but that doesn't really matter. What really bothers me is when those fans actually bash, insult, mock, make questionable jokes about the person in question or their history, amongst other things, simply for something they use or like or prefer.

 

I have seen people call others stupid, mindless, uncreative tools for purchasing a PC or people call others soulless, brainwashed sheep for purchasing an Apple product. That's not cool or acceptable. So, to me, it doesn't matter what an aggressive fan is a fan of. If they're actively putting down the users or fans of competitors, I think it's totally unacceptable. What one chooses to use or which way one chooses to go is not up to another.

  2. AMD Fans
  3. Radeon Fans
  4. GeForce Fans
  5. MidTower Fans
  6. Air Cooling is better then Water Cooling Fans

Apple fans. Why you ask? Because most of them are pretentious hipsters pretending to be original. Most of all, they're fucking ignorant, irrational, and totally oblivious to the fact that apple is ripping them off.

I would say some Apple fan boys. Like omg, I would say that android is better in some ways, and then the person would be all like "oh no no apple/ ios has that too...." But they truely don't, and some of them also say that oh macs are for PROFESSIONALS right........... sure they are.

The type of people who say "my gtx 870m is better than your desktop gtx 760"

And then still not understand when you slap them with benchmarks and terms like "overclocking" and "better cooling" and "ogssaa" and "customisation" and (yeah you get the point)

Sadly this is one of my friends. I like him as a friend until he starts talking about tech, in which case I pick up more tales to tell in the "experiences with non-techies" thread

I'd personally say any fan who is dead set on brand loyalty above logic. If someone says "____ makes the best _____ out of all other companies and always will for all eternity!" I can't help but feel a little sorry for their ignorance. Yes, I would consider myself an Intel/Nvidia fan but that doesn't mean I won't strongly consider options from the red team and if the AMD options are better for the price, I will buy them. Other people? Not always.

I've built 3 PC's, but none for myself... In fact, I'm using an iMac that my dad bought for me as my desktop. Awkward...

Please don't say "SSD drive." By doing so, you are literally saying "Solid State Drive Drive" and causing my brain cells to commit suicide. The same applies to HDD (Hard Disk Drive) and PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express).
