Worst virus you ever got, and how'd you get it (if you know)?

Jack.EXE

we can be honest here, right?

mine was that stupid snap.do browser hijacker, and I'm pretty sure it came from an infected email.

I didn't get it... But I had to get rid of the FBI virus a few times. From other peoples computers.

the stupid "you skype does not support the following emoji icons" in a skype chat with my friend. once you have the virus, its displays that message to the people you chat with, thus spreading the virus.

The worst "virus" I got was a FUD java drive-by for a botnet which admittedly was my fault for clicking on a link on HackForums but I knew what happed almost immediately so I just reinstalled Windows, TL;DR use Linux on the darker side of the web kiddies.

NetNanny I was 7 (IT BLOCKED TRUCKMANIA)

I found a way to remove it it took sooo much work

heres how you do it

1. watch parent type e-mail password

2. discreetly ask software for password reset

3. open parents email and reset password

4. delete email

5. play truckmania

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

I had a virus on my dad's xp...not cause of me...but it came up when my mom was using the computer and a picture appeared of a worm eating a guys head...I thought it was pretty funny....we ended up reformatting the drive cause of it....also on my laptop I got that stupid java update one...once I logged in I had exactly 4 seconds before it completely froze and had to be shut down manually....I reformatted the hard drive.

Edit:

I ran a virus scan on one of my friends computer since they have not before...it came up with 10,000+ virus...and he was like is that why my computer has been so slow...I was like ya think?

If you've previously won the build off please pm me so we can get something worked out.

i got one of the worst virus for a browser ever -.- its called smart search or something and i got it by getting a gameboy emulator and what it does is it opens adds EVERYWHERE even when your in fullscreen playing the NEWEST AND TOTALLY BY FAR THE BEST EVAR* COD will back you out and open chrome or internet explorer and open up 3 pages at a time one of them was always an adult webcam site and the worst part is you cant delete it so i did what most people who have a back up hard drive do, take it out, bring to backyard, go back inside, find baseball bat,go back outside, beat it to death for johnny.

It wasn't really a virus, more of malware. And when I was away from my PC my friend put it into my pc through a pen drive, and it opened and closed the disk drive repeatedly, and the only way to stop it is to remove your DVD drive.

When I was 8 or 9 I got a nasty virus with the words "child" and "porn" in the name. I was constantly getting messages from Windows saying "are you sure you want to upload this file?" with some random .mov filename... I told my Mom and started crying because I thought she would think I was downloading child porn. But she called some tech support people and they told her how to wipe the hard drive. I don't really know what happened, but...

EDIT: I knew the name of the virus because we had that crappy Norton shit at the time and whenever it scanned it spammed the screen with .worms with those two words in the name... so, yeah.

I don't understand how you guys get these viruses in the first place. Even when I was younger, I never clicked on anything stupid.

I very, very rarely ever have problems with viruses. The worst virus I ever had was something that changed my desktop wallpaper to random, dirty and/or disturbing images. Made for some awkward confrontations. Worst part was I never knew how I got it. That was a long time ago, though, on my old computer.

I have no signature. There is nothing to see here. Move along.

I tried to download Pokemon ShinyGold and a bunch of other shit and my grandma's old Gateway ended up getting a virus. My ex- friend got hacked by a keylogger a while back. Probably from torrenting pretty much every piece of software he uses...

Life.exe is missing

I don't remember what it was, but I do remember the reason. Freaking express install on a legit download. Those packages always try to sneak in sneaky shit. Always custom install when you deal with installers.

I had my browser hijacked twice, but the worst virus I ever got was so horrible I can barely describe it... It was intrusive and broken, often it would kill my GPU drivers and rape my hard drive... It's name was Norton Internet Security...
