A question to all americans!

Recon97

Plus the army is a joke so no delivering freedom from our end. It is riculously bad. Like 20 jets and a few tanks. Second hand ofcourse.

Indeed. Wasn't it that if say for example Russia would start a war against Finland, we wouldn't last more than few hours at max. Maybe not even a full hour...

It's mandatory for Finnish men, though... I don't know if it would apply foreign people who have acquired Finnish citizenship too, or just those born and raised men here. (In about two years I'll be serving my conscription for either 6 months or 9 months. No plans of becoming NCO, so no full year.)

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

America still has better basic civil rights than most other countries the world over. I would never move to Europe or Canada specifically because of their facist guns laws in the name of "safety".

We have our problems, we are slowly being taken over by socialists that have this view in life "well your successful and wealthy, so that means you must have cheated or something and you should pay more taxes to help out those that don't try or work or do anything to better themselves". But we're still better off than most countries as far as I am aware. My advice is if you want to move to America, stay out of the big cities. Live in a rural area, there you at least have some freedom from bullshit laws like noise ordinances, there's a lot of other problems with living in big cities as well, ridiculous rent, traffic jams, college morons protesting everything you like, muggers, etc.

Some countries might have better economies, but if you can't own a gun, and don't have the right to defend yourself, then it's not worth living there in my book.

I see America as a heaven in services the country offers.Fast internet at very affordable prices, lots of online shopping services and lots, lots of brands.I have never been to America and going there and having a big mansion at the top of the hill is my dream. So is my dream worth it?.For me it is since there is no power shortage in the country and its far far better than my country, which is unfortunately,Pakistan.

I imagine America as a land of opportunity, but thats ky point of view. What about you Americans?,I need to know its real face.

PLEASE don't troll post.

best country is denmark, us is not even in top 10 places to be

Comcast provides something like 100mbps for maybe 60$ per month. Not sure really.

Hahah Comcast is usually nothing but horseshit. Overultilizing their network...

Every time I use or see someone with Comcast they'll just make your service slower than molasses occasionally around the end of the month.

I am the first to admit that the US is not without its share of problems, much like everywhere else. The problems are just different from one place to the next.

The internet service varies greatly depending on where you are, some places have gigabit internet, while others only offer 5 Mb service.

As for the mansion on the hill, it is still possible. Probably not as easy to do as it once was, but if you are smart and willing to put your head down and work you can make that happen. The best description of the real american dream I have ever heard is this; "This is America, you can have anything you want. You just might not be able to have everything you want"

If you want to come to the US, I would welcome you.

Indeed, everyone is welcome to the US in my book, as long as they're law abiding (so politicians get out lol). I for one enjoyed delivering pizza to people from other countries more than I did my fellow Americans, they were always far more polite, and tipped very well.

The mansion on the hill is still somewhat possible. Get a good job, live cheap, save up, and buy some land in a rural area where it's cheap, continue living cheap and saving, whilst renting part of that land out to tree farmers or regular farmers as another way to make money, then when you can afford it, build the house you want! Don't ever get credit cards, don't get payday loans, don't buy a house with a loan.

I don't really want a mansion myself, I want land that I own, a house that I own, and peace, quiet, and privacy. I'd like to get to the point that I can live self sufficiently and not really have to work at all, other than maintaining my land.

You'd be better off emigrating to any country that employs the nordic model of capitalism / social democracy.

The USA model of capitalism is less appealing to those of us without a lot of weath or patriotism-tinted glasses.

America should be the last western country you should consider moving into. Personally I would never do it. I can't live with the fear. What fear? Is it it the fear of persecution because of my religion, ethnicity, beliefs? Not really. The fear I'm talking about is the fear of getting sick in America and having to pay approximately 4 billion dollars to the hospitals. I can't live with that fear.

Comcast is one of the most hated ISPs in existence. Where are you getting this info from exactly?

From their website.

Oh my... Hahahahaha. Yeah, no. Don't take their word for it man. Comcast suck more dick than a prostitute Valentine's Day.

They're truly horrible, like most American ISPs. Some are much worse than others, but majority of them are bad, and from what I've read and seen all over this forum, internet in America isn't as great as it may seem.

Europe is where the best internet is at from what I've seen.
