how many pushups are you able to do?

shiftberry

the first 60 in one set, the rest 40 in 4 sets. I rest like 5 secs between the last sets!

edit: i do all these 100 pushups in 4 minutes :)

around the same as you then, though I don't do them often since I do enough manual labour at work and no matter what I do I stay skinny as fuq and my six pack always stays barely visable because I can't build any more meat even with me eating like a pig. Actually I do sets starting at 60, down to 40 then 20 then 15

manual labour is quite a daily workout, you should do some relaxation exercises afterwards :)

I just either sleep or relax infront of the pc at night. To be honest though, I haven't done much labour in the last month aside from an expo we were at and last friday when I had to shift between the shop and warehouse.

Usually I do about 35. If I really put my mind to it I could probably do 50 in one go, but I'm not really fussed about how many I can do.

On an good day, anywhere between 30-40, but usually I give up after about 10 due to lack of motivation. Why put myself through the torture of push-ups when I could just go on my bike and enjoy my exercise.

Place a bag of doritos and a can of mountain dew and I'll do at least 420 push-ups.
Nah all jokes aside I can do about 30 clap push-ups per repetition.

Umm... Since when did swimming require a lot of arm strength? Unless it's competitive swimming, it doesn't really require much strength.

Am I wrong or...?

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.

25-30 in a rep

(just woke up, could do 25 before giving up)

But the real feat of strength is pull ups, how many pull ups can the Tech tips forum pull off?

And before you list off some number, actually do them ;)

Think he means stamina since you only need enough arm strength to push yourself up.

I was able to go probably 50 max. So, 30-40? Now, with tendinitis, I cannot do normal push-ups at all. I can try 10, but as I near 20, my right wrist feels like it's going to snap. Fist/knuckle push-ups I can manage, but it's painful since I'm not used to it - there's less risk though since my wrist is straight compared to a normal push-up position. Finger push-ups are hell too. Clapping push-ups are sort of fun, but annoying.

I don't even remember. Once you're in a long term relationship, you kinda stop caring about trying to impress.

It's kind of unbalanced, because my right arm is more muscular than my left arm.

Because of...uhm, because of tennis.

Tennis.

I do them where my arms meet the sides of my chest every time I go down which I found like 1 = 2-5 regular push ups... and I do 40-50 of them, never really tried to push it to the max.
