After waiting what feels like 4 months it's finally ready! My custom order for an EL34 tube amp is finalized.

Why is the noise floor so darn high!? My speakers are sensitive AF. They're 4" fullrange drivers. It sounds amazing but that noise floor tho.

Took advantage of the Steam Summer Sale and got lots of games with big % off that were on my Wishlist:

Also I've bought two T-Shirts from the "For Fans by Fans" Merch Store to test their quality. I'm hoping for them to be great quality because I really like some of the other designs they have as well but first gotta be sure that it isn't total crap:

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

I'm Swiss and my Mother language is Swiss German of course, I speak the Aargauer dialect. If you want to watch a great video about Swiss German which explains the language and outlines the Basics, then click here.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.

I've been playing raft with a friend recently and it was a lot of fun. They just released the last of the story updates so now seems like a good time to get into it.

I ordered this H310 board and I can’t remember why.

I think it was to prove that mini dtx fits into itx cases

Into some ITX cases, not all of them. I have 2 that would certainly not fit that board or would place the x16 slot in a location where a card could not be installed.

I’m thinking something like a silverstone SG13 or if I can find one cheap, a cooler master elite 110

both of which I know have the extra room, a little bit extra past the 2nd pci slot, and a little bit of extra depth.

I think a single slot gpu isn’t too unreasonable these days with the existence of the rx 6400

Little dump...

Design files to print me a server case https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-mk735-mini-server-nas-chassis-96113

Printing in progress, a few days left...

16GB of RAM to fill up the ITX board that's going to go in there, only had 1x16 because the other had died

An open box cheapo 500W UPS for $45

An 8-port SAS controller card with cables, will now be able to play with my 15K RPM SAS drives, and it'll eventually find some use in the server that's going to go in the aforementioned case, mobo already has 6 ports which is enough for now but obviously not enough to fill up the case with 7 drives + 2 for cache in the future. Was delivered in IT mode already which is great, don't need to deal with the flashing. Wasn't advertised as such which is great because it seems those who do take the opportunity to hike the prices...

Said drives were joined by a Seagate one for fun because $10, I can now make a whopping 600GB parity-protected array, yay... (not for the server, just for fun obviously)

I think a 3 slot ITX case would work out but I doubt a 2 slot would. My Elite 130 is for sure a no go, but my Core V1 would probably work.

That sucks man.  You're buying from Amazon direct right?  It's not a third party?

Well, fans installed, they all work just fine, I don’t know why I thought the top mounts were 140mm but whatever, just put some of the EK vardars up there since they’re not as visible.

Ill find some other use for the noctua 140mm fans, they’re solid fans

324C569E-8E79-40B5-B8C0-CEA3C34A2E52.thumb.jpeg.2b70b5c12662d8dda7fa9fe85ab47906.jpeg

you have no idea how much of a pain in the ass it was to install those inside radiator fans for the push/pull configuration, keep in mind that with this case having an eatx board inside of it, I can’t use the cable management holes for the 24 pin and two 8 pin eps connectors this power hungry thing requires

1BCAA950-295C-4546-B053-41D9F36D47DE.thumb.jpeg.489785eb37b1c7d6d66edad073b5227f.jpeg

didn’t do a whole lot, so I just underclocked it

i know 85c is fine, it won’t hurt anything, it will rarely get there as the stress test is a theoretical worse case scenario, but I want 70c at most

shame though with the board that this is the absolute best combo for overclocking (you can see that I did try 5ghz and I hit 85c so no bueno)

I think the next options for cooling are either a way better aio, or custom water cooling

for my uses though this is cool and quiet and I don’t need anything crazy performance wise

ill probably see if I can get 1-2 cores to 5.2ghz and have the rest top at 3.8 or something, most of what I do where I need cpu performance moreso wants single core performance

also might just need a repaste, I used the stock ek thermal paste pre-applied and then removed and replaced the block a few times so it’s probably terrible paste coverage under there lmao

Back to the fans, noctua redux, solid af

Which makes me sad because I like their cloths. I find their cloths last longer than the crap sold at Walmart. BUT Im not surprised they are going the way of the dinosaur, I only shop there once in a blue moon because I wear my cloths until they have holes and are falling apart. Plus everyone and their mom buys me shirts, socks, underwear and such for special occasions. Which is nice because clothing is expensive.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Amen, people ask me what I want I tell them money so I can buy clothes. At least with food there's some feels of a gratifying transaction, but with clothes not so much for me. Woohoo $30 things to cover my legs that I'll cry about when I snag them on a rusty nail and rip them. Also, I'm getting old because short mens shorts are back in style and let me tell you, the world does not need to see my pasty thighs. I need the board length shorts of ye olden days of my youth to fully cover my shame.

bought a 1080 mini

I made a status update about this but tldr I think we’re seeing a rush to sell mountains of post mining cards, I think used gpu prices will rise a little bit after this

Either way this is a gpu I can use in a mini itx system and it cost me almost nothing for its performance

even if it has a rough time and I have to underclock it or something I intend to pair this with an i7 7700T anyway so it’ll be fine there

Edit: note the seller I bought this from is a large reputable seller on eBay, they noted all condition aspects of the lot of cards, namely that they have minor scratches and such on the shrouds and backplates but are are functionally fine

theyre clearly selling a massive liquidation of a mining farm going by their other items, namely 300+ Tesla M40’s, mining motherboards, fan controllers, assloads of noctua redux fans (wish I saw that before I spent 200$ on fans on Amazon), risers, high end power supplies, and industrial cooling hardware

with that it’s definitely a mining card, however just looking at the rest of the stuff that was sold, this was no slapped together operation, they’re selling the entire mounting racks including massive AC systems and such, I think for mining cards these were probably treated fairly well

It was recommended from another member on here that I get the DLC for Far Cry 5 and Watch Dogs 2, so I went ahead and got it. Also got the Wolfenstein II DLC at the same time, because I need some more Wolfenstein action as I really enjoyed the main playthrough.
