Ah.  Those typically have crazy low requirements I think?    You could buy some $300 prebuilt and it could probably run CSGO.  lol

Lots of character luckily this house is built very very well and except from a few small issues, can see this house being around in 2101 and beyond.

They're WD so I'd trust them better than other brands.  ?

Except that 500GB recertified drive has a lot of reallocated sectors and 5 pending sectors that can't be repaired as they were flagged by the run in the WD diagnostics tool for which the drive failed both the basic and enhanced tests.

The 320GB drive faired a lot better as it passed all the tests and has better SMART results even though its been used more then the more current 500GB drive.

So only the 320GB drive is possibly usable and even that one is worse off than the drive that's already in the computer?

That sucks...

Any chance you'll be able to get your money back?

That's nice of you to replace it for her.

But with Ryzen's lower clock speed and IPC wouldn't a 7 be a better option?

Pretty sure the 7 CPUs have higher speeds.  Though I'd have to check to be sure.

Not that a 5 would be bad of course I'm sure what you got will still be a very nice upgrade for you.

(tbh I have no idea how Ryzen CPUs do for gaming aside from knowing Intel is still better due to the higher clock speeds and IPC)

The Protein powder I posted there is pretty good, as in the taste doesn't make me sick. For some reason I have a very sensitive stomach when it comes to stuff that tastes 'fake'. Which is why I only ever drink plain water at the gym, I hate those flavorings they have.

Peak Whey I tried and I thought I was going to throw up. Weider on the other hand is ok in terms of taste.

[EDIT]

I have no idea how good any of that would be during keto.

I deal in shitposts and shitpost accessories.

Picked up the new Stone Sour, Crash Bandicoot N'sane Trilogy along with a Saturday ticket to the EB Expo, since myt mate & his girlfriend told me I should join them, thought why not. Since it's the first since it's inaugural launch that the expo is back here on the Gold Coast.

Also I scored one of these the other day for $45 from a local auction house, they thought it was just a monitor. I kinda wish it was since it's got a 1080P IPS panel which looks gorgeous. But hey, an entire touch screen computer with okay specs for 2012 for $45 ain't bad I guess. Especially since it works flawlessly & Windows 10 is rather snappy on it.

just ordered spare parts for the livingroom media PC/testserver. The good old trusty Abit FP IN 9SLI seems to have died after 12 years of nearly 24/7 work.

I wanted to go for a complete new system at first with mitx and a new case etc. But now due to some cost issues I just got a replacement board, cpu and ram :

Intel Core i5-4460 3200 1150 BOX

Asro Z87 Extreme4/TB4 Z87

D316GB 1600-11 XPG V1.0 bu K2 ADA 16 gig

Due to not being on heavy workload this cpu with stock cooled will be enough, as well as the only 1600 ddr3 ram. Yes I know old technology but then it has to last for a while and it's proven and riped/aged well.

All this for around 440 €.

I still can use the GF 560 TI Phantom if I want to, but to get down the energy usage I think I put it on the shelf as spare part.

For now this is the first step.

2nd step will be 4x 4 TB Nas drives, 1 ~250 GB SSD, 1 Bluray drive and with it perhaps a new case. But that is for later. I just put the old drives in and get it back online =) I need the test webserver and media up again.

I love these 2 beasts. My dad bought a Flip 4 about 3 months ago (The Blue one) and I loved using so much I saved up so I could have one of my own (The Black). The 2 playing together (thanks to JBL Connect+) is insanely powerful. Unless the seller is super shady I'm surprised they didn't know they were selling iffy drives.

It's a very well known second hand reseller called CeX that has stores in several countries including the USA, so I can easily take the 500GB drive back with the weight of the diagnostic test results on it but the drive still has a two year warranty (although I've heard that they can become quite the dicks when trying to get stuff sorted) so if I decide to keep it and it gives up the ghost then I can get it replaced (since a knackered drive can't be fixed).

I'm also guessing that they only did a SMART check on the drive and got the same results I got from the WD diagnostics software.
