Sold some of my old camera geard and got myself this instead. Curious how it will perform, reviews looked promising.

Second picture is if you don't know what the first one is (it is what will now be my alarm clock), but I'm really hacked off at the place where I ordered it from as they bumped the price back up on Monday and reduced it either a day or so after I ordered it.

Yeah we'll see how I go. I was gonna go the 7700K version in a 17.3" however couldn't justify the cost. Settled for the 15.6" with a 7820HK, 32GB RAM, GTX1070, 500GB 960 Pro and 1 1TB and 1 500GB 850 Pro's.

More games for when I'll actually have hard drive space to install them.

Where did you buy these from?

I've only played Rebirth 3 (own it on PC and vita) and used to have Deathsmiles on 360.  I have Zestiria on PS4.  Don't have the other two.

Awesome choices.  ?

How much is the battery life of your laptop ? 30 minutes ? xD

I turned my brother's DV6 6000 laptop with a quad core i7 and HD 7000 series GPU up to as high of performance as possible in the windows performance settings (so battery and AC power perform the same), and I actually popped the fuse in the battery

About 3 hours or so on battery - not too bad given what's in here

Just order on Amazon or Newegg.  Best Buy is terrible for computer parts.  Even HDDs.

How are you going to use that for an alarm clock?

Why is it asking you that question?    I don't remember if I've seen that before.

Saw at the specs in your other post.  It sounds very nice.  How much was it?

That's to do with setup for a domain (business environment) or whether you want to set it up for personal use.

I paid about $3200 for this however to get it how I've configured it would be about $4600.

And that's with a gaming load presumably ? How big is the battery ?

Nah, that's at light load. I'd expect around 45 minutes to an hour gaming. Not too sure on the battery size but I know I can get replacement batteries and chargers which is good.

@Windspeed36 Some kind of performance reduction must be taking place. Maybe the CPU and GPU are under clocked and the frame rate capped for such results.....

Yeah it'll lock FPS to 30 on battery

Yeah M.2 is primarily for laptops as a better alternative to mSATA

Oh neat, is that a rebranded Clevo? Looks like XMG P507 that is a rebranded Clevo.  If so, how is it? Was thinking of buying a new one at the end of the year. Also is that the 4K model?

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

Ordered this a few days ago. Haven't really got around to trying it out properly, but for what it is, it seems pretty decent. I did some searching around and came across something quite interesting tbh, this model was supposedly limited to 1000 units, I tried looking at archives of Epiphone's old site, and even reached out to Epiphone but didn't find anything (Epiphone haven't got back to me, though given that this was a few weeks ago, I don't think they will get back to me either).

Word of mouth around the internet was showing consistent figures though, everywhere that mentioned rarity gave the same figures. 1000 units, 200 of which were special variants which came with onboard effects out the factory.

Epiphone Beast is what it's called... From my understanding this was Epiphone's own take on the Explorer back in 2001. It's not some rare ass, going for $30k Gibson Les Pauls from the 50's  (obviously I'm exaggerating there, but you get the idea)... I mean, back in 2001 it was budget model, so it's not got any major value. Whether there will be any gain in value in the future is beyond me tbh, though I can't say I have any intention of selling it.

*Not my pic*

Really?

I've personally only seen M.2 on desktop motherboards.  Though to be fair my only laptop is from 2010 so I guess I'm a little out of the loop about laptop use of M.2.

What's the difference between mSATA and M.2 anyway?

Well, I just sold my 50mm prime lens and wanted something else for portraits. In simple words: Its quite a "fast" lense, which means that it has a rather small min. apperture (f1.4), which enables you to take pictures with a very shallow depth of field (the depth of the plane that is in focus). Its nice for portraits, since it gives you a nice blurred out background and a "Bokeh" - transorming light sources in the background into a shallow round mess. All stuff that you cannot really do with a phone - except by using software :D The following picture was taken with my setup (this lense and a Sony A6000 (stole it of someones Flickr), guess it kinda illustrates the point :P
