You have a really good setup, but it's just too mainstream for my taste. I like your hard drive though ;)

Specs aren't fantastic but I love the fact you are overclocking everything possible to the max.

Here we go, my terrible build...

Some cheap arse ASUS H61 mobo

intel core i5 2320

AMD Radeon HD6990

OCZ Petrol SSD that I'm pretty sure is dead

1tb seagate barracuda

750gb seagate barracuda

Corsair 650D

screens: X-star 1440p 27in and 19in lenovo 1440x900

Sound: Roland Quad Capture and a cheap ASUS Xonar for ubuntu support

OS's: Ubuntu (on the broken SSD), Windows 7 64 bit for gaming.

There you go, my wonderfully terrabadly optimised PC.

The first step to insanity is believing in your sanity.

You don't have your 4960X overclocked to 5GHz, and you have too much Corsair. I'm not going to give anyone 10/10 until I see a QX9770 @5GHz, 8GB DDR2 1400MHz, Asus 790i SLI, and 3-way SLI GTX 880s.

(null)/10 THERE IS NO RIG MAN!?!?!

Time for my old, uber-expensive-when-new laptop (a Compaq ProSignia 165).

Intel Pentium 2 400MHz (top end stuff right there)

64MB Soldered-on RAM (I might put in a 128MB RAM stick to max out the RAM)

ATI RAGE LT PRO 4MB AGP 2X interface

40GB Hitatchi ATA-100 5400RPM IDE hard drive

Windows 98 SE.

Cost about $3000 when new. I got it for $2.50. The battery (which got 2.5 hours when new) gets about 2 hours, doing things like MS Word (dug up my old Office '97 Professional disk).

I still play WAAAAAAAY too much SimCity 3000 on it...

You have 2011 for no apparent reason, and a quad core one too.

  • CPU
Intel 4670K@4,4Ghz stable (at 1.36Vcore, this chip is useless)
  • Motherboard
Asus Maximus VI Hero (pretty good motherboard. I really like the fan control software)
  • RAM
    G.Skill TridentX 16GB 2400Mhz C10
  • GPU
Sapphire HD 6450 passive (lol its because my monitor doesnt support Intel HD graphics, and I needed something with a DL DVI-D port. It can run battlefield 1942 at 90 fps though. I'm waiting for a DirectCU cooler or something to come out for the R9 290)
  • Case
NZXT Phantom 530 (It's bloody awesome)
  • Storage
2TB Seagate Barracuda - Samsung EVO 250GB (the seagate makes too much noise, it's the only thing I can hear in my system)
  • PSU
Cooler Master V850 (Does what it should do, and I )
  • Display(s)
QNIX QX2710 (Great monitor, great price)
  • Cooling
Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 2 (Great, does what it must do with low noise and good temperatures.)

System:
4670k@4,7Ghz <fully stable ( and 5Ghz, incredible unstable)| Asus Maximus VI Hero | G.Skill TridentX 16GB 2400Mhz C10 | AMD XFX R9 290 OC'ed (locked, Elpida) Cooled by a Kraken G10&X40 w/ NF-A14 | NZXT Phantom 530 | 2TB Seagate Barracuda | Samsung EVO 250GB | Cooler Master V850 | QNIX QX2710 @110Hz | Be Quiet!
