It plays Half-Life really well cuz of the VooDoo. And I'll have you know it does 240p Flash YouTube video, and with VLC it does most 480p unless there's a butt-ton (which is actually 63 gallons, I believe. Think I learned that from Linus) of action. And your's get's a nice 7/10, mainly for that nice OC.

The CPU isn't compatable with the  80188. The 80186/80188 CPUs were hardly PC compatable and weren't ever used in PC applications, just embeded stuff.

 

That CPU is 8088 compatable.

 

 

7/10 for gaming in 1988, CGA isn't that good but this machine is better suited for business applications. Also, I wonder why they didn't use a 286, That must have been a lower end machine.

7.5/10, That's a solid mid range computer, but i3 might have some trouble in the future with all this multithreaded stuff in games.

8088 or compatable were not high end, a laptop around that time usually had a 286 in it. A really high end one miiiiiiight just have a 386 in it.

the V40 is basically an embedded V20, which is a very common upgrade from a 4.77mhz 8088. 

 

I definitely wouldn't mind getting a system with a V20 :D
