8/10 sharp image and i like the framing.

-snip-_DSC0211 by Phil  watson, on Flickr

7.5/10. I can see your reflection in the christmas ball ornament. That just ruins it for me (personally). Otherwise, I think you're spot on with the focus, depth of field, and framing. I'm not sure why (it might be due to your lens, or you did this on purpose) but the image seems a bit too 'soft' and not as sharp around the corners of fish decoration.

I think that softness is litterally the frosted glass not anything to do with picture.

8/10. Looks goodand nice composition. I just wish there was a bit more contrast as the colors seem a bit muted.

Heres a pic i took today messing around with black and white photography.

8/10 Nice wooden creature and BW fits this image well. The leg at the left is a bit distracting though. I wonder if it could be cropped, but in turn it might mean losing some of the shapes that suggest it's a fish...

I tested some closeup/"product" photography on my earphones. I've had them for little over half a year, so they are not exactly new anymore...

8/10 nice photo of some nice headphones, although the part of the headband at the front seems slightly out of focus, although what's to be expected with so much bokeh going on, but nothing major.

I think this is my preferred photo from a walk I went on on saturday, but I'm not sure if B&W or colour suits it the best, so I'll just use the B&W one. The weather had been awful the day before and during the morning, but I braved the cold and got this whilst the sun was still out.

I feel like a pure number system really prevents people from giving good, helpful rating. Overall an 7/10 for yours, but really its more like:

Color: 10/10 - The B&W suits the picture, with it's lines and the sun rays.

Composure: 8/10 - for what it is, it's good. You have the rays of sun, and the water. Slightly crooked maybe? See Contents, below, though.

Contents: 5/10 - I understand what you were going for, but, its a tad boring. I think either focusing more on that sign/rocks to give the picture a subject would be good. Or possibly wider angle or panorama.

I'm pretty sure I was asleep by midnight on new years eve. And then got up at 5AM to go for a ~5 mile hike up a hill in the snow and ice so we could get some pictures and exercise.

quite grainy because of it being a phone, and quite a low res which doesn't help the depth or bokeh; on side no dosen't have any bokeh so sorry mate.

Please "rate the photo above you" as is the title of this topic, and not just post a new picture. Thanks :)

Most folks use flickr. When you click the share feature, one option is forums/bbcode.

seems flickr is the best then digitalrev :)

try using flickr and uploading the original helps to get full quality :)

doesn't seem to be a defined focus point, i like the concept a lot if u can get the aperture, bokeh and focus right it could have been amazing.

so 6/10 i'm afraid :L

Looks blurry... I assume the twig was swinging back and forth rather quickly when you took this shot? Could use a faster shutter or just decrease aperture size. Also has an incomplete feeling, like it would've been better if you managed to get the entire dragon fly in the shot. But eh, I guess you already knew all that, seeing as you took this in 2011  :P

Anyways, here's mine. Took this a month or so back. Never got around lightrooming it. Just found out this thread existed. So I decided why not. And no, I know none of those people. Passed by and took a quick snap lol. Shot it with a Fujifilm XE2 with kit lens.

looks nice really captures the atmosphere of what is going on. 8/10. I only wish that that sign wasn't there. Seems a bit detracting from the rest of the pic.

yeah, I litterally took this about a week after getting my first dslr, I have gotten much better since then, I will have to upload some of my newer pics to flickr and share them on here, it was a breezy cool early spring day that day which is why everything in the back ground is all brown still lol.

9/10 Nice overall, I would just fine tune the contrast a little bit.

I think it's great. I love the color, and the subject. The natural framing is also great. 10/10

I have no idea if this embed will work. But, this is actually 240 images compiled to make a timelapse from my hotel in San Diego this past weekend.
