What's your choice of resolution for 2015?

It looks like in July ROG Swift will finally launch, and maybe we will start to see more (or if at all) of G-Sync and FreeSync monitors in Q4 2014. (ROG Swift Official Page)

 

So I thought I ask the community.

 

What resolution would you like to be playing at in 2015? Do you want to invest in G-Sync or FreeSync monitors?

I don't care much for G-sync to be honest. My 120Hz 1440p monitor does fine.

Upgrade Plan: Acquire some Black Noctuas then add 16 or 32GB of 2133MHz memory

I really wish that we'd just make organic hardware already, that grows and adapts to the demands it needs to meet. That way, grannies' computers can be floppy sacks of organicness and the 12 year old Minecrafters will look like the guys that only do bicep curls, and the nerdy programmers will finally have justice, with their body-builder rigs that skipped leg day.

3440x1440, it is 1440p but better IMO.

I would have a 1080p IPS. Good enough for me, I think it could be time to get something with more color than my Dell SR2220L and SR2320L.

I would probably go for two U2414H's. Thin edge, and IPS.

 

Or I could do one 1080p (for games) and one 4K (For movies, multitasking) 

5800X3D - RTX 4070 - 2K @ 165Hz

1080 with sync all day, I've been waiting for a tearing free lag free gaming experience since I stopped using a CRT.

4K. All these ultra wide screen monitors seem dumb. I already have $400-$500 saved for a 4K monitor, so I only need $250 more (getting PB287Q)

1600p here, I would jump on 4k if it was a 10 bit IPS panel at an affordable price! :D

you know what, i'll stick with 1920x1080 for a couple years more or maybe 1600p with Adaptive V-Sync i go 760SLI

No I'll have a GTX 990 or R9 495x2.

 

Honestly though I think that 1440p will be the new standard in 2015... possibly.

Still using a 1080p TN 60Hz monitor. I'm okay with it, don't plan to change

But I guess by 2015 the price would go down like 4k did.

I'm probably staying with IPS 1440p for a couple years :P

Could end up getting an IPS 1080p as a side monitor some time.
