I've had the same problem too with same cpu as yours. I've switched over to IE as my daily browser for almost 2 years now. Good riddance. Never missed chrome even once. FF is my 2nd browser in case some website aren't showing up roperly in IE.

I really hope you know how unsafe IE is...

I have a 2500k, Chrome just started doing this.

Have you cleared the cache and temp files?

You should be using ccleaner to remove all the temp files that build up over time on your PC...

People keep having problems with Chrome usage, and TBH I have no Idea why. As said, I bet it has to so with how some add-on is running.

This is my chrome usage for example, and I have 8 tabs open:

Aah,that article is from 2012,man. I'm using IE 11 btw + Avast Internet Security+Malwarebyte pro+Defender. If there is any potential security issue with the IE, I think i have it all covered. But so far,not a single problem security with it and I'm happy. People are really blowing the issue out of proportion when they have never even tried using it.

Oh, sweet. Idk i just kinda found that article out of no where. I just don't like the feel of IE personally, although it is my backup browser

To each his own preference I guess. I'm not a plugin junkie anyway so that's why I don't miss using that resource hungry chrome that keeps crashing whenever I open loads of tabs (20+). Plus you need to be really stupid to have any security issue like viruses and malwares from the internet. Safe browsing with some common sense always is the best method.

I have used chrome the last 3(?) years and I've had no problems until the last couple of days. But I really like the new Firefox so I'm going to stick with this and have Chrome as my secondary browser.

I hate Chrome since it soaks up RAM, takes longer to load initially, and a few other reasons. For example, with the same 6 tabs open, Chrome is hogging up 902MB of RAM. Firefox is using 480MB of RAM. See what I'm getting at here?

I would love to use firefox but I just can't stand adobe flash.

Uhm... How about you not use it. Chrome is the one that comes pre-loaded with Flash not Firefox.

Welcome! Make sure you grab a new theme for Firefox - the default one is a bit dull. There are also a whole load of awesome addons that you can get from addons.mozilla.org so you can set your browser up exactly how you like it. I can recommend the linustechtips notifer (but then, I would because I develop it).

except chrome allows you to use html 5 on youtube.

So does Firefox. I'm using HTML5 on Youtube with Firefox. Even IE allows it. Any browser can do it.
