Being DDos'ed

Hey guys, just a question. What precautions do you guys take, to prevent being ddosed? Firewall? Vpn?

Never give out an ip and if I am being ddosed because they found my ip I usually switch off the router to generate a new one or contact my ISP if it keeps happening.

Why would anyone even want to DDOS you? It's not like you're a big time streamer or anything. People don't care about you, you don't need a any precautions.

1. Don't piss people off!

2. If you already pissed someone off, don't give out your IP.
3. If you already pissed someone off, they got your ip, make sure you use a VPN next time or always use it when doing something stupid.

I am pissing alot of ppl off, some of the forum members knows that. Then they lure me up on their TS3 server and they says: HA we got your IP, prepare for ddos.

 

Then I turn on and Off my router.

DDosing is usually expensive, so people would rather cause damage elsewhere.

Just never give out your ip and dont visit malicious websites.   

 

And most common routers will have DDos protection.  But if you stay safe you should be perfectly fine and never let cray people on your network.

I've gotten DDoS'd before and I just unplug my modem and wait for like 10 minutes until they go away.
