How often do you turn off your PC?

if something goes wrong i will do a restart or for driver updates, otherwise i will just put the thing in sleep or even just leave it running so i can teamviewer into it if the situation demands.

Turn it on in the morning, shut it down when I go to sleep.

I only restart it when I need to. I'm to lazy to reopen all my tabs. If I were to shut it off every time I logged off (which is every few hours or even every few minutes sometimes when I'm getting yelled at)

I turn it off as often as I turn it on...

Since I use my phone for everything and my pc for gaming and netflix it's only on for a hour or two a day

When I'm at my dad's house I keep it on 24/7.

 

When I'm at my mom's house I shut it down when I leave the room because my mom likes to snoop through everything.

 

Password protect it and lock it, that's what I've done. I have Windows 8 and press Win+L to lock it

Pretty Much Everyday. I'm only on my desktop for like 3 hours a day. So if im not folding or gaming its off

My computer is usually on all day. I switch it off before going to bed and before leaving the house if I know that I won't be coming back any time soon.

Never. I have dirt cheap electricity and I only put it into sleep when I go to sleep (because of the LEDs, otherwise it's silent enough to leave on overnight)

I sometimes drape a towel over the window if I'm downloading something overnight. 

 

Funny enough, most times I shut it down are when I accidentally click on "Shut Down" when going to reach for the sleep button.  Anyone know how to change the default button on the start menu?

 

I don't update Windows, so no need to restart there either. 

right click on shut down select properties choose power button action drop down menu hit sleep

Technically its on 24/7 however I put it in sleep mode at night.
