How to get my website recognized? (kronofiles.com)

I am trying to get my website http://kronofiles.com recognized but am having issues on where to market it and where I could get the most traffic from. Does anyone have any suggestions on ways to get my site noticed?

I recently was browsing the web for a website where I could share files with people that would delete after a certain amount of time. After some searching and finding many broken sites, I found http://kronofiles.com. I love this site because it's simple and easy to use and I figured that others could get use out of it too. 

 

Hmmm. My guess is that, that is your site and you came here to advertise it.

 

Reasons why I think that.

 

  1. You joined 6 minutes ago and this is the first post you made.
  2. You were browsing the web for a site that does that and you found a site that is in development, has no activity on its FaceBook/Twitter/Google+/Instagram.
  3. The amount of tags you used for a site you "found", the first few tags I understand, but the ones that only the creator would post are "code, programming, web development, programmer". Most people wouldn't bother posting that.

 

So I am going to post this as you are new.

 

 

 

4.2 Advertising

Any sort of advertisement on Linus Tech Tips that has little or no relation to Linus Media Group, or is not affiliated with Linus Media Group in any way will be considered spam and removed from the boards. This also pertains to signatures and/or profile information.

This includes but is not limited to doing a giveaway on the forums while linking/referring to outside accounts(Youtube, FB, etc.) in any way shape or form.

In addition to advertising, you may not sell any item via the forums other then through the Classifieds section nor advertise links to third party personal sale sites (EBay, Kijiji, etc.) where you might be selling your item.

Links in the Hot Deals section to items being sold directly by the manufacturer or distributor, such as Razor, Dell, Amazon, Best Buy, etc., are allowed, but only in this section.

 

 

If I am wrong then I am sorry, but what I see does make it look like you are advertising a site you made.

I could see how you would think this is My site but honestly it is not. I really wanted to see what the community thought about it and if anyone else could get use out of it.

I know what it is like trying to get something new started. I am in the process of starting a Computer Modding store, and its been a nightmare trying to get it known, but I have found some youtubers and reviewers to help advertise it, you could try something similar.

 

Use your facebook page, Invite ALL of your friends, start posting on your page, ask for your friends to invite their friends, thats the best way to start out.

 

Just wondering how are you going to pay for all this ? Storage and bandwidth will be fine for now, but when it starts getting used more it will get expensive.

 

I would remove the URL to your site, and change your post to something like how can I get my site more know, or this topic will get removed for advertising.

Oh btw, the font-style in the dropdown to choose when a file is deleted is different from the other fonts. It would look much better if you'd change it! :)

That is one of the things I've been working on lately, it's just hard to style any form of input because the browser mainly handles them.

Oooh sorry, my bad! :) Well, you could contact @Slick or Linus, this comminity would be a perfect audience. But here they use those Google ads, they show an ad on your searches on Google but i don't know exactly how that works.

Ask around on tech related subreddits. Make sure your service is unique compared to your competitors and emphasise on that.

By ask around, what do you mean? Please excuse any weird/dumb questions because i'm really tired right now...
